"We are into our veggie / vegan food at the moment, so we drove all the way from Wuppertal on a Sunday night to visit this place. We immediately loved the atmosphere: plants, buddhas, soft lights, books, a bit exotheric... Both the waiters, a young girl and a slightly older man are absolutely lovely, they just communicate calm and kindness. The menu (which I had already studied at home, I must confess) is composed of pizzas and small set of starters and main dishes from all over the world, strictly bio, vegetarian or vegan. We had some mixed starters, very delicate and delicious. Then my husband had some chinese egg fried rice with tofu, and I had a pizza. Everything was lovely, and quite unusual. Maybe a little bit too mild for my taste, as I like strong flavours, and the pizza a wee bit too unusual (I'm Italian, so I'm expecting a certain type of pizza... my fault only), but great ingredients and great quality. Was worth the trip from Wuppertal! The best thing was, we asked to pay by card, and the waitress told us that unfortunately it wasn't possible, however, if we didn't have enough cash, we colud pay next time!!! That this place even exists in this day and age, is worth 5 stars!!!"

"as a native eater, many Asian restaurants are well known to me in eating. now we wanted to expand our range and went to the mekong spontaneously because of a recommendation. Although it was Saturday night, we got another table. the chairs would have to be equipped with felt gliders at the beins, the slide makes a krach as in the mensa! very uncomfortable and loud. After ordering the drinks at a very friendly service, we chose the appetizer and main dish on the rich menu. the appetizer was very delicious. When the hell was cleared, we were told that we were supposed to keep this cute. messerbänkchen would be great here, where with this cute!? the main courts were then brought without a storeroom, I don't know. eating were really very delicious, the portion rice in the very large container but was more than clear for 2 people. therefore we have asked for reis. my man had escaped that was very picant and delicious. I had a court with huh. we have paid for all 44,00 euro, which was as good as possible for us. then I made a precise look at the bill again and then only saw that for the hit it was calculated 2.00 euro. I have addressed the restaurant at the theke, the already mercifully gazing chef, because it has upset me. we have not yet had to pay in any Asian restaurant for a supplement rice extra. the chef has wanted me to be very cashier, that would have been the case everywhere, and that would have been enough for 3 people and therefore. I found his reaction so inappropriate and unharmed, the portion was more than ridiculous for 2 adult people and it is not up to him to judge when his paying guests are full or not. but instead of ending the discussion, he asked badly if I knew what would cost rice today. hallo? by reis you could feed the whole world population so little it costs rice. So I went extremely sour and will not come back or recommend the restaurant. so you don't deal with guests. sad that there are such people in gastronomy. his reaction has also moved me to this bad evaluation. I'm sorry for every cent he got from us. I hope he can buy enough rice from it!"

"upscale restaurant without elevated prices and therefore my absolute secret tip between theremund and düsseldorf. with a view of the lake of the Baldeney, here are served ideenrich dishes that are not eaten all days. if you choose the menu, there is no refreshment at the ingredients! . even on the menu I eat yesterday. after cannelloni from the confoten gans followed a wonderful creamy foam soup from the erdnuss. included as an insert of geeseberry and dörrobst. after this tasty mood followed a crispy and delicate fine frying with marons, filled porridge, red cabbage and carrot ointment. the majoranjus I could have spooned as delicious as she was. as dessert a foam of cocos with chocolate and mango was served. also recommended and for 41,50 euro plus. 16 euro for the accompanying weeping a fair price and absolutely unique eating."

"Das Essen war sehr lecker, sehr gut gewürzt. Wir waren mit sieben Leuten dort und allen hat es sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Bedienung ist wirklich nett und zuvorkommend gewesen. Die Auswahl an den verschiedenen Gerichten ist vielfältig und stimmig. Das Ambiente dort ist auch toll, alles rustikal. Ich bin bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal dort gewesen."

"So, the thing with this "restaurant" is that, we have ordered a big pizza and a dish of pasta with some friends. They say that it will be there in 30 minutes. After long more than that, we have called them and they've said that the food was ready but the driver (they bring the food at home) was not there and we would have to wait another 30 minutes, or we could pick up the food ourselfs. Of course, they didn't arrive, and we did call again, and we ask for some kind of discount after more than one hour waiting, with cold food. And their answer was only say "good by" ("ok tschüss" in german) and hang the phone out.I think you could order pizzas in another places. There is a couple more in Essen Werden, it will be more efective.Really, don't wait something from this Trattoria."

"Wir waren zu viert als zwei Paare zum Abendessen dort. Als Empfehlung des Tages wurde uns unter anderem Leber empfohlen. Mein Partner bestellte diese und bekam ein typsiches 3-Komponenten-Gericht, bei dem alles nach nichts schmeckte. Null Salz oder gar Gewürze. Extrem fad, dazu nur lauwarm. Da ich sonst mir keinen Fisch selbst zubereite, bestellte ich mir den Lachs. Dieser war gut durchgegart, schwamm aber in einer undefinierbaren Sauce. Ausserdem war die Beilage überproportioniert, so dass vom Geschmack der eigentlichen Hauptspeise Lachs nichts überblieb. Ambiente, Wartezeit und Service ok. Preise recht hoch, dafür kann man mehr erwarten. Vorteil : die Location ist recht klein, es ist also nicht sehr laut und eher familiär."

"Normalerweise halte ich Abstand davon, die Meinung der Vorredner zu bewerten. Wer das hier angebotene Sushi mit den guten Japanern aus Düsseldorf sowie Köln vergleicht oder von Genuss spricht, war wohl woanders essen.Wir haben unzählige Sushi-Läden besucht und unter die Lupe genommen. Klein, groß, neu, alt, teuer, billig. Wir probieren und bilden uns ein eigenes Bild davon. In unserem Fall waren wir vor Ort. Hinter der Theke wird das Sushi von zwei Jungspunden gebastelt. Die hohe Kunst des Sushi fällt hier somit - wahrscheinlich aufgrund eines Familienbetriebs - in jedermanns Hand. Einen Meister sucht man wahrscheinlich vergebens. Leider sieht und schmeckt man das auch eindeutig. Ein klarer Abzug dafür.Alle drei unserer Rollen waren gigantisch groß, und das in Höhe und Breite. Bei den Unmengen an Reis drumherum ist es allerdings auch schwer ein anderes Ergebnis zu erzielen. Klar, dass sich das im Geschmacksbild dann auf die Rollen überträgt.Der Fisch in den Rollen war ok, ohne zu brillieren. Allerdings waren sämtliche sonstigen Stücke an die Rollengröße angepasst und für uns wieder überdimensioniert. Zumindest sind die Sachen frisch und das erfreut. Satt wird man definitiv. Eine Menge Geld für gerade so ausreichenden Geschmack zu zahlen halte ich für fragwürdig.Die Bedienung war freundlich, das Ambiente erinnert aufgrund der Theke etwas mehr an eine Eisdiele. 2,5 von 5 als Wertung wären gerechtfertigt. Auch wenn die Leistung nicht schlichtweg mangelhaft einzuordnen ist, ist sie ebenso wenig befriedigend."

"Ein wunderbares kleines, nettes Restaurant mit hervorragenden Speisen!!! Wir hatten das Vergnügen im Rahmen einer Messe an zwei Abenden absolut tolle Gerichte zu genießen. Es hat uns am ersten Tag so gut gefallen und geschmeckt, dass wir am nächsten Tag gleich nochmal gekommen sind. Die Inhaberin hat uns sehr freundlich und mit viel Engagement bedient. Ein kleiner Tipp: Vielleicht besser reservieren, da das Restaurant abends immer voll war! Sollten wir mal wieder in Essen sein, kommen wir wieder vorbei!!!"

"the new pawns who have set up a ristorant in the old house Erbach have been joined with good ideas. the menu with typical Italian dressing is interesting, the prices moderate, the tested dishes good. the service is attentive: an origianl graceful mama is very wordful and friendly.Leider we - 2 people - were placed next to a foursome that was later occupied by two papaaen, who were very loud palaverts. Why not a twosome in the middle was assigned to us, besides several free tables that were also not reserved is not understandable. so we had to stop the visit after eating, because we were unable to maintain."

"Walking down Ruttenscheider Strasse (close to our hotel, the Atlantic Congress) my co-workers and I found this pizza and pasta restaurant. We decided to give it a go. The restaurant has a nice back room that seemed quieter than up-front. We sat down and were quickly given menus. When the waitress was back to take our orders there was some difficulty in understanding the size of the pizzas. Our German was non-existent. Her English was limited. I should have used Google Translate. However, we marched forward and each ordered a different pizza. Oops! We had no idea that ONE pizza could have served all four of us. Prices were so reasonable that we assumed they'd be personal-pizza-sized. Not so! In the end, the crusts were so thin that we did a pretty good job with four of us and four pizzas. They were delicious and really some of the best pizzas we'd all had outside of Italy. Next time in Essen, we'll be back."

"We were looking for somewhere in Essen to have a less formal meal and we came across Eleon Meze Bar and what a find it was.The restaurant is well appointed in a very casual dining environment where you could dine either inside or outside and the decor was quite appropriate.We made selections from a very varied menu and it was quite difficult to decide which to chose from as they were all very tempting. We ended up choosing six dishes and we were not disappointed. The ingredients were fresh and expertly presented, and the combinations of herbs and spices enhanced the flavours and each dish was excellent.We had a bottle of Greek white wine which was quite acceptable and price wise, very reasonable.All in all, a very enjoyable meal at a very reasonable price and highly recommended."

"Besuch war schon kurz nach dem Betreten des Lokals wieder vorbei. Servicekräfte inkl. Koch verhalten sich bestenfalls mangelhaft. Wahrscheinlich liegt es an den begrenzt vorhandenen Sprachkenntnissen, die eine Reservierung über das Telefon schlichtweg unmöglich gemacht haben.Wäre alles nicht so schlimm gewesen, wenn man nicht von allen Seiten (Mitarbeiter des Lokals) lauthals als Schuldiger ausgewiesen worden wäre... Man versuchte uns sogar weiß zu machen, man hätte die falsche Telefonnummer gewählt! Auf ein Rückruf nach der im Telefonbuch gespeicherten Nummer und das klingeln am Telefon in dem Lokal konnte dann niemand mehr etwas entgegnen. Echt traurig, wenn es nocht auch so peinlich gewesen wäre.Negatives Highlight auf der Rüttenscheider Straße.... dann lieber ein paar Meter vorher oder nachher in die tollen Lokale einkehren!"

"Ate in here as a group of 8 people. The place was not overly busy and our group ordered starters and mains. It did take a while for the waiter to take our order and then about 15 mins for the starters to arrive which was OK and the food was excellent. However we then waited about an hour for our main courses to arrive but again the food was excellent.Overall the food is great but when the dining experience took 2 hours for a group of 8 people who only had starters and mains, this is not good.I would return but next time I will leave plenty of time and make sure I am in no rush for my food."
