"Coming to Tengernsee was a very exciting experience for me. Beautiful mountains, astonishing views and lovely winter weather. Coming to this specific restaurant left a very sour taste in my mouth (not literally because the food was lovely). A waitress whom I asked for directions...to the bathroom ignored me blatantly 3 times and i asked a 4th time and she yelled at me 'One minute ' 3 times as though I was some incompetent human. She treated all her other customers with respect except me. So I went and started looking for the bathroom myself. She found me lost and asked me 'WHA 'T ' at which point I told her I was looking for the bathroom and she just stood there pointed in the direction. I am not sure why decided to treat me in particular like sh**t but she did and I am starting to think that she simply did not like me because of the color of my skin. In addition to that as I was walking to the bathroom there was a young man who had his face painted in Black wearing a hat with jamaican colors- clearly doing the whole 'black face ' thing. This is my conclusion: it appears that a country that lives in the shadow of racist past still exists so I suggest you leave this sleepy town that is full of racists who tolerate astonishing appalling behaviour! The food was great but this whole experience has left a very bitter taste in my mouth for Tegernsee generally. My advice to the restaurant owner: As the world becomes more and more interconnected you should know that there will be more diverse looking people who travel and dine in your restaurant. Be more discerning about who you hire, fire those who think they are better than others and keep your brand profile established."

"My wife and I were looking for somewhere to eat away from the lakeside, where everything is expensive, and the menu at Trastevere seemed to fit the bill, so we headed for it. As we were studying the menu by the entrance one of the waiters (actually I think he was the only one) tapped my wife on the should and made some comment. I dismissed it at the time but in retrospect it did seem a bit forward. He thought himself as a charmer for the ladies, but being middle age and rather overweight he was anything but. Eventually we ordered a beer for myself, a glass (250ml as per the menu) for my wife, 2 mixed salads, and a pizza to share simple enough you would have thought. The drinks came first of course, my beer, plus a small glass of wine. I inspected the glass and although there was a 250ml marker on it, the level in the glass was nowhere near it. I tried on several occasions to attract the waiters attention, but without success, but eventually with some arm waving he came over. I said that we had ordered a 250ml glass of wine, as per what was the only option on the menu (apart from a bottle), and this clearly wasn 't 250ml. He said it was a small glass, and eighth, ie;125ml, but this wasn 't what we ordered, and anyway there was no such item on the menu, and therefor the price was unknown. After much discussion to and fro he took the glass away and re appeared a few minutes later with a Quarto Litro caraffe plus an empty glass. Now why couldn 't he have done that in the first place, why argue with a customer. The Pizzas came next, already cut in half, but no salads, and also no cutlery. After a few minutes I walked over to the cutlery draw and helped myself, just has he appeared by the door, but he didn 't say anything it was as if he knew he had forgotten them, maybe on purpose ? Still no sign of the salads either, and after a further few times in trying to attract his attention, I asked where the salads were, and his reply was 'They 're coming '. By the time the salads eventually arrived, the pizzas were 3/4 eaten, in fact if I hadn 't had to wait for the cutlery, they would already have been finished. So, would I recommend this restaurant, and maybe go there again well you can draw your own conclusion to that. Needless to say, I didn 't leave a tip."

"General: Forward: The Bavarian comes, of course, but we are great friends of the Bajuwarian and cultivate some imitations of Bavarian hospitality in our city. But first another trip to the foreign country. In addition to several Italians, the air will be thin on Lake Tegern. I suspect that the Tegernse valley is one of the few döner-free regions in Germany. And also a Greek review is not to be feared. Mirch Masala was a coincidence finding when we did not choose the Tourilaufweg for the way to Edeka; according to the homepage Mirch Masala has been available for many years: [here link]. The restaurant name simply means spice mix and seasoning plays a major role on the homepage, which also offers all other interesting features including menus and drinks. The Mirch Masala is therefore not located directly on the tourist routes, but in the extended railway station road still quite centrally, with the bus stop in front of the door, which provides good noise on the small terrace. Indian restaurants attract women; perhaps with ideas of exoticism, joy of colours and gentleness. Some women among the guests proved my hypothesis, by the way, locals. Otherwise couples of all ages and an Arab, medium sized sippe from our hotel, which has been brought forward with their Mercedes Vito. It's probably lured by the "Halal" sign in the window. The price-performance ratio in Mirch Masala is conveniently located in the four-star area and is more hospitable than in Bremen! Service: Also in Mirch Masala we came without reservation and meant to the first, somewhat older Indian operator that we wanted to sit on the terrace with their maybe eight tables. He pointed to the two two tables on the left and right of the entrance. They didn't like us what I said, and we sent to go in. Then one of the two younger operators came and offered us a foursome table on the terrace. As in the further course, in Mirch Masala all guests were equally attentive and courteously served, well-studying after the many “Signora” on the eve. 3.5 stars. Beverages quickly came to the table, which is vital in view of the still high summer temperatures. The dishes were also very good in time. At Lake Tegern you drink beer in the format Halbe and I therefore spare me conversions to my reference amount 0.3 l to evaluate the beer price level. King Ludwig Biere is between €2.90 (light, €3.10 (dark and €3.20 for the two white beers (light and dark). I then had a lassie mad (0.25 l for 3,00 €, wonderfully refreshing with a clear cumin note. The bottle of water 0.75 l costs 4.90 € and the 14 open, classified wines are for the area between 4.20 and 4.80 € (Indian white wine! . There was something in the direction of a light mangolic on the house. Eat: As usual with Indians, there were only three peels with the sauces of the flavors curry (lightly sharp, good, mint (refreshing, good and mango (sweet, nothing for me with the thin lentil bottle Pappad with coriander seeds. Is visually nice and what to dip and jack at the time. I then had the lentil soup Dal-Shorba (3,80 € and my constant companion the salad with chicken and chickpeas Chicken-Chana-Chat (5,50 €). The salad also lived tastefully from coriander leaves and was otherwise dressed with a yogurt-tomato dressing. Then a yeast broth with garlic salmonan Kulcha (3,20 €), the extra-cooked potato yogurt Alu Raita (3,10 €) and the two main dishes Ente Khumb Wala with mushrooms, garlic and ginger (14,90 € and delicate lamb with mushrooms, garlic and ginger were brought into Currysoße Mutton Khuma at the same time. We had expected the extra bread and the yogurt with potatoes rather with the appetizers or as an intermediate, but didn't let anything say. Instead of this a well-covered table with a large plate of basmati rice, on which some coriander capsules were found in rice. The yoghurt with small pieces of potatoes is very refreshing and quite suitable as a supplement to a juicy or even sharp sauce dish. This supplement was not suitable for the warm bottle. The well-being flatter became the victim of the increasing sense of saturation. Although the two dishes with meat dishes did not make a striking impression, with the good rice it was enough for two plate fillings. Unfortunately I did not convince the two dishes. They not only looked the same, but also tasted almost identical. All right, garlic and ginger stood on the map for both, but were just to be disgusting. Otherwise, a mild, creamy taste dominated that made me miss a currykick. The champignons I have deliberately only perceived at the final cost of the court. Positive is to notice the good lamb quality of the scorching muscle meat. Compared to my other spice experiences at Indern, the main foods at Mirch Masala were no aha experiences. If I still get 3.5 stars out, I remember the good side services. Ambiente: The Mirch Masala is also housed in an old house. At first glance, the actual restaurant looks small with a view of the vaults, but in the right part of the building it goes hose-like to the back. There the tables on the right side are close together and on the wall you sit on a bench. On the tables two layers of table linen and fabric napkins you can enjoy the guest inside and on the terrace. As usual with Indians, red tones dominate on the walls, contrasted by a white ceiling and a yellow-orange tile floor. Something came in the years the tight toilets are. Cleanliness: It goes well maintained."
