Friendly staff. Stunning views. Great beers. Unfortunately the food is average. Personally I would try another place next time.

Don't listen to other reviews about average food, I thought the food was really good at a reasonable price. Service was attentive and friendly. Views are spectacular. Definitely would recommend.

Stunning views from the outside tables of this excellent restaurant with mostly local guests as it is off the tourist track. Very enjoyable food and good service. We met our waiter the following day in the restaurant at the top of the chair lift and he gave us a wonderful welcome!

Just came back there after several years not visiting the region, sort of nostalgy and very positive memories. Location still the same with a fantastic view across the lake, a wooden fire was on, hardly any diners. Disappointed about the Kasspatzn, very happy about the service, i.e. speed and kids-friendly. This restaurant is located on the hill overlooking the lake. We came there twice because we were amazed of the food quality. Also it is very typical bavarian with a lot of wood and and a stove. It just feels very cozy.Also they have a big terrace where you can stop after hiking and have a big beer and some food.

We visited Tergensee on our tour of Bavaria and on the advice of our hotel we had dinner here. An excellent recommendation! Great welcome with a lovely warm ambiance. The food is a lovely example of Bavarian cuisine. Service excellent, very efficient and quick without being rushed. Only one problem for the non-German/non-European traveler: non-European credit cards are not accepted; cash the only alternative.

High up on the mountainside with stunning views over Lake Tegernsee is this authentic Alpine restaurant with great local food and excellent friendly service The restaurant had been recommended to us by German visitors who were regulars in the region and we were certainly not disappointed. So much so that we had lunch there one day, sitting outside in brilliant sunshine whilst admiring the view and dinner there two nights later in heavy rain, sitting inside and enjoying the cosy, Bavarian dining room. The food was delicious with enormous portions. The shredded pancake with cinnamon and apple sauce is a must! The value was excellent.Do not be fobbed off by their initial adverse reaction to any...
