"I revisited Molly Malones Stirling on November 18th. I had previously visited earlier in the year with my husband and found it to still be popular with a diverse crowd. We started off sitting at the bar for drinks, noting that spirit measures were 25ml per serving. The server, Caithlin, who may have been the duty manager, was a very pleasant and welcoming young woman. Prices for a pint of Carling and a double Bacardi with mixer were reasonable. After looking over the menu, my husband and I decided to stay for dinner. We moved to a table with a good view of the many televisions showing English and International football. We ordered our food at the bar, with me opting for a chicken bacon sandwich on sourdough bread and my husband choosing a Rarebit burger. The food arrived about 15 minutes after ordering, although I had to wait an additional 5 to 10 minutes for my side of thick cut chips. The sandwich was generously filled and came with coleslaw and a fresh green salad garnish with a touch of mint. My husband's Rarebit burger was topped with a beer-flavoured cheese sauce, pigs in blankets, and rosemary salted fries. He mentioned that he couldn't taste the beer in the sauce, and I found the pigs in blankets to be dry, possibly indicating they were precooked before being added to the dish. Overall, the food was decent, the service from Caithlin was excellent, and the atmosphere was lively with a mix of clientele. The prices were fair, and the restroom was clean."

"My friend and I spontaneously booked a night at this hotel on our way back home from a trip up North, along with my friend's small dog. The booking process was easy and we arrived around 8pm. Despite previously declining a dinner reservation, the hotel was happy to accommodate us for dinner. The meal was delicious! Our twin room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The en suite bathroom and shower were fantastic, with minimal noise reaching our room. The best part was the French doors that opened up to a stunning view. We were on the top floor and had a great view of the loch and hills. The only downside was the traffic noise from the main road below, but the room and view were definitely worth the price we paid. There was easy access from the car park to walk down to the loch side and we enjoyed a long walk along the cycle/walk trail with the dog at sunrise. Breakfast was included in the price and it was lovely, with a self-service continental option and a choice of cooked breakfast. The food was of high quality and my dog enjoyed her sausage. Dog owners were seated separately with their pets in the bar area, but it was laid out similarly to the rest of the dining area with window seating and beautiful views. This also ensured that other guests were not bothered by dogs during mealtimes. We felt well taken care of and the staff were all very friendly. We had a great time and will definitely be back to this excellent value for money hotel."

"Went in for breakfast on a cold, rainy November morning. The first thing that struck me was how cosy the place was there's a wood fired stove at the front and another through the back and they were blazing away making the place lovely and toasty. The space is nice there's lots of room and although it got a lot busier quite quickly after we went in, there was nobody sitting really close to us and it didn't feel crowded. As an aside, I don't often comment on the toilets but I was actually really impressed with the toilets here, they were lovely and I liked the little notice board in the ladies' with local notices on it. The breakfast menu has a great selection, with everything from a full breakfast to pancakes to French toast to eggs benedict to simpler options. And it's really reasonable french toast with bacon and maple syrup would only set you back £4.50, the full breakfast is under £8. I went for the eggs benedict with crispy bacon, Him Indoors went for the full breakfast. Both were good not knockout fantastic (one day I'm going to write a book about my hunt for the best eggs benedict in Scotland), but really good and, considering the prices, seriously good value for money. We sat and had a second round of coffees afterwards (the coffee was lovely) and with breakfast and two drinks each for three people it came to around £35. The staff were super friendly, really chatty and the whole atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I'd like to go back to try their evening food as well to see how that compares, but I would definitely recommend it for a good breakfast at a great price."

"I hope that this review is taken in the manner in which it is intended. A college restaurant where students in the hospitality sector show off their skills. Fair to say that the level of service you receive will be determined by the level of experience of the student. Food wise, we enjoyed a three course meal for lunch with coffee and mince pies to follow at the princely sum if £23.95pp! Not too shabby. A simple menu with 4 choices per course, the food was beautifully prepared and presented. Our only quibble was that my wife’s mash was quite cool. That apart, it was well portioned and tasty. Service obviously some of the students are very new to dealing and interacting with the public. Can I offer some positive criticism: Don’t be scared to interact with the customer. Obviously this depends on the mood or manner of the diner. This will come in time. People enjoy eating out and part of the job is to put them at ease. Smile! It’s amazing how a cheery face can brighten the mood and put both diner and assistant at ease. Ask , after a discreet interval, if all is satisfactory. But don’t predict their reply will always be positive. Be ready to accept a query or a negative response so that you can react accordingly. Find out as much as you can about the dishes on offer , the drinks etc. you won’t know everything, but be prepared for such questions and do some research beforehand. You are the link between the customer and the and the restaurant. Of course all of this will come in time All in all , a lovely clean place with good food on offer at a reasonable price. Well done."

"We went along hoping the menu might have more than pizza. It didn 't. The decor is refreshingly different to the Tartan schmaltz you otherwise get in the area. There is no lighting from the car park to the building which is a health and safety issue and should be resolved as priority. The pizza was ok but very dry. Personally I think all pizza should have passata as standard along with mozzarella. The barman (the owner? kept turning the music up and 'photobombed ' the blackboard menu when my wife tried to photograph it so we could check the toppings at our table. He thought this was very funny. If he was an employee rather than the owner I can 't imagine this would be tolerated. We couldn 't chat and got to the point of asking for doggie bags so we could leave. After my wife paid and was putting her purse away the barman grabbed her for an uninvited hug. He then marched out and challenged me to shake his hand to demonstrate that we 'd had a nice time which we hadn 't. It was not dissimilar to and as pleasant as being challenged to a fight. Against my better judgement I extended my hand which he predictably attempted to crush and I had to pull away. Please don 't grab people unless it 's made very clear they want to be. We hardly spoke a word to you and it was inappropriate. Had we been chatting happily and got to know about your business it might have been different. Next time we 're in the area we 'll drive that little bit further and go to Callander to eat out."

"Leaving behind a less-than-ideal dining encounter at another establishment, my friend and I found ourselves seeking refuge at The Burgh Coffee House. This change in venue marked a significant shift in our day's narrative, as we were immediately met with stellar customer service and a welcoming atmosphere. Contributing to the warm and congenial environment was the exceptional staff, who were not only attentive but also exuded a genuine friendliness that put us at ease. Their welcoming demeanour added an extra layer of comfort to our visit, further enhancing our overall experience. The oppressive heat and humidity of the day nudged us towards the invigorating iced teas from their expansive menu, while I also decided to indulge in a delightful petite cake. The teas served as an elixir of rejuvenation, their cool, refreshing flavours providing a much-needed respite from the heat. The cake, a personal indulgence, proved to be an absolute delight, offering sweet reparation for our earlier unsatisfactory experience. As if on cue to add some levity to our afternoon, my inherent clumsiness resulted in my half-finished iced tea taking a spill. The ever-vigilant and considerate staff of The Burgh Coffee House were quick to respond, providing us with paper towels to address the spill and generously offering to replace my drink at no additional charge. This contrasted sharply with the subpar service we had received earlier at another café. The empathetic and attentive approach demonstrated at The Burgh Coffee House was a refreshing change. Their commitment to customer comfort and satisfaction was truly commendable and managed to transform our previously disappointing day into a pleasant and memorable one. With its extraordinary customer service, an extensive and mouth-watering assortment of teas and coffees, and an enticing selection of food and pastries, The Burgh Coffee House stands out as a paragon of what a coffee house should aspire to be. To summarise, The Burgh Coffee House is a shining beacon of hospitality, offering a rich and diverse menu, and a staff that truly understands the essence of customer service. Whether you are seeking respite from a scorching day, desiring a thirst-quenching drink, or craving a dessert just for yourself, a visit to The Burgh will undoubtedly meet your expectations and more."
