"Went for lunch on Saturday with my husband and sister in law. Have been to this pub quite a few times and although the service has never been fantastic I was shocked at how bad it was. The last time we came (a few months ago) it was awful but we said we would give it another try as the food is nice and it’s a good looking pub. We were shown to our table and 10 mins later no one came over. There was no staff in the restaurant part at all for the whole meal. Had to go to the bar and ask to order, was told someone would be with us in 2 mins. 5 mins later a girl came to take our order. Bit of a side point but you wouldn’t know she worked there as she was in ripped jeans and a strappy top (not really appropriate). Food came out in acceptable time. 2 of the 3 burgers were a bit burnt and not great but the chips were really nice. No one came over to ask if our meals were ok. No one came over to clear our plates. No one came over and asked if we wanted coffee or desert. We got up and went to pay at the bar as there was no one around to ask for the bill. When we paid no one asked if everything had been ok. We would have ordered desert and coffee but got so sick of waiting (the restaurant was very quiet) we went to BIGS deserts down the road. Such a shame but the staff need a shake up in this place as it could be great. I’ve given it a second chance and won’t be giving it a third."

"I travel for business and stay in hotels weekly, but this was by far my worst experience. The room I was given was in a former stable block behind the hotel, which was dirty and dusty. I was exhausted and just wanted to sleep, but I soon discovered that the bed sheets were soaked in blood due to a bed bug infestation. I immediately went to reception to check out, but was told I would be charged for the full cost of the room unless they contacted the night manager. After hearing about the disgusting condition of my room, other guests and my colleague decided to leave as well. I made it clear that I would take legal action if they tried to charge me. After finding a new hotel and scrubbing myself clean, I spent a restless night trying to forget the experience. I now meticulously check every hotel room I stay in. I would not recommend the Royal Oak Hotel Sevenoaks to anyone, not even my dog."

"The Bull use to be a great pub but its changed ownership and gone down hill. The food takes aaaaaaages and tastes terrible. Although it's still a kid and dog friendly pub the atmosphere has changed completely. Staff seem down, barely anyone goes there now. Had drinks there recently and they seemed watered down. All in all not a great space to go anymore. Update: haven't eaten there recently but I only see people having drinks so I'm not sure if the food has improved. The kitchen closes at 8pm so if you want to meet friends for dinner after the kids are in bed then don't come here! The atmosphere has improved a little"

"The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The shade was decent, although a bit inconsistent. The meat was quite good, though the sweetness was slightly overcooked. However, everything was served hot, and there was a nice variety of options, aside from the fact that they ran out of custard—a first for me in a restaurant. The prices were reasonable, parking was convenient, and everything was very clean. Would I go back? Absolutely, without hesitation."

"My friend and i visited, having phoned to book a table. During that call we were not advised that it would be a 15 pound minimum charge per person. Staff were grumpy looking. We chose a meal each which totaled £18 90,not including service charge. They took the order and kept offering us some other items When we refused the waitress said it would be £15 00 each. We sad no and said our meal would cost £18.90 as on the menu. No where on the menu does it say £15.00 min charge per person. The food was ok. We were not offered cultrey and had to use the serving spoon once we had given up the battle with chopsticks. When the bill came, it was £21. which included service, and they had charged the wrong amount for one of the dishes. They were very rude and argued as other customers arrived. I showed the waitress the menu and said we were not paying any more. They were trying to fleece us and it was disgusting. I will never go there again and advise all customers to watch thier bill very carefully."

"The Kings Arms is located in the central part of Westerham, in Market Square right on the High Street. The restaurant has both an internal room and external areas, equipped with tables and umbrellas that can be used on beautiful sunny days. It is the typical English pub, with tables, chairs and high wooden stools, where the locals meet to have a chat while drinking a beer. We decided to have lunch, ordering: 2 Sirloin accompanied by a black pepper sauce, fried potatoes, fried onion rings, tomato and vegetables. We also ordered an Amstel beer and a Cider. Good meat, especially if covered with black pepper sauce. The cider beer is also excellent! Prices in the local average. Nearby activities: The restaurant is in Market Square, the most central point of Westerham and therefore close to all the local commercial activities. Food drinks: Good value for money, at least for what we ordered."

"We visited here last month with friends for drinks to be very disappointed at how unwelcoming and rude the landlady was. The service received was terrible, and there was an awful smell of cigarette smoke. The pub as a whole looked like it needed a...good clean which is a shame as we were hoping to stay for food. The toilets had broken seats and overall disappointing to visit what could be a lovely pub. I wouldnt go back and i wouldnt recommend it being a place worth visiting. However the other pub the old eden is much nicer and i would definitely visit there when im in the area again."

"We were looking for somewhere to have lunch and drove past The Bullfinch and it look like a nice place so we went around the tiny, busy roundabout and went back. I am glad we did as it is a great pub/restaurant which is beautifully decorated and great friendly staff. For lunch we sat outside on the deck and ordered a tasting sharing platter which was delicious. For dessert I had the Pimms jelly which was amazing. Our New Zealand waitress was lovely and helpful and the whole experience was great. We can thoroughly recommend The Bullfinch and will go back when we are in Sevenoaks next."

"Held a wake here for my Dad. In the run up to the event they were very helpful, asking how we wanted the room arranged, offering different options, happy to accommodate veggie/allergy options. When we arrived after the funeral everything was spot on. Ready and prepared on arrival but also freshly made. The food was lovely, great value and plentiful. It’s a big cut above normal pub grub so we were happy with. They also provided standard cocktail sausage and chips options for kids. This is a family run pub, we were made to feel very welcome. During the wake the daughter was managing things, making sure the urn tea was full, helping some of our elderly guests with the buffet. She was really friendly, a good host, but also very discreet until needed, so we we had privacy. I seriously recommend this pub and hope to rerun again on a happier occasion."

"This restaurant appears to be permanently closed. A victim of the pandemic I expect. Name no longer over the door. Decided to pop in here on a busy Friday evening. I hadn't booked and hoped they could accommodate a table for one. I was happy to find that they could and even asked me if I'd prefer a table in the busy part of the restaurant or a quieter one. I opted for the latter hoping I'd not be forgotten in the quiet corner. I shouldn't have worried the young team on duty were friendly and very attentive. The food came in good time and was very tasty. The service was excellent, better by far than some other places I've been to locally."

"I have been a regular patron of this pub for over 50 years, although I don't visit very often. It is a lovely Kentish pub located in a picturesque village. On a chilly Tuesday night, I met up with three friends. We hadn't made a reservation, but luckily there was space for us near the fire. There were a few locals and one of them was playing music by The Rolling Stones. I like the Stones, but it was too loud to have a conversation. One of my friends politely asked the landlord to turn it down, which he did. However, as the night went on, the pub felt colder. Only one of the three open fires was burning at the far end of the room. My friend suggested we move closer to the fire as I was freezing. I even ended up giving away my warm parka to stay warm. By 9:30pm, we were the only ones left in the pub. It seemed like the logs in the fire were not burning properly. Despite the cold, we were enjoying ourselves and I went to the bar at 10:14pm to buy one last round of drinks, thinking that the pub might be closing soon. The beer and wine were both fine, but the atmosphere felt a bit lacking. I hope it was just an off night and that the pub will go back to its charming ways. It reminded me of the book "Bleak House" - full of memories from happier times in the past."

"Firstly I should say I am a big fan of Nonna’s and used to go regularly but less so now due to the price increases and reduction in quality. From the recent 5 star reviews I can see the owners do read (and leave ‘wink’ reviews so I want to give an honest review that hopefully they will take on board. The food is still very good. The ciabatta WAS the foundation of the great breakfasts. The new thinner ones are not so good so you need to change back to the high quality ones you used to use. The prices are expensive. Yes Sevenoaks is expensive but other shops are doing it cheaper but with less quality. So I will pay the higher price but only if the quality is top drawer. We need the good ciabatta’s back for the quality to be what it was. I’ve read lots of comments about staff ranging from grumpy to charismatic lol. I think we know who wrote the charismatic review… but lads come on, it’s isn’t the friendliest cafe and that doesn’t bother me but obviously some people like that so you could be a bit friendlier. This is an honest review from a loyal customer hoping you listen. Even if you don’t think you are being unfriendly it does sometimes come across like that. I get it, I’m the same. But I don’t work in a customer facing role and some customers obviously want a bit more from you. Personally I just want the old ciabattas back and the prices to come down a bit if possible and I’m happy with the service the way it is."

"I had visited this Mc Donald 's on Wednesday. I was waiting in the que for 15 minutes before I arrived at the drive through window. As I arrived a young lady at the window advised me that I needed to park up and wait for my food. I had advised the lady that I didnt want to park up as I had been waiting a long time already. The lady then proceeded to shout across to the kitchen, ' ' There is a lady who is refusing to park her car, can we hurry up with the Big Mac ' ' I told the lady that this was unnecessary and proceeded to park my vehicle in the car park. When my meal had arrived by a different member of staff, I then opened the Big Mac box and looked in the burger. Someone had taken a bite out of the meat in the burger and at that point I had gone back into the restaurant to ask for a refund. I was then approached by management who said that surely its not a bite, I had then advised if he had seen the burger, he replied no as another member of stuff had taken the burger away. I had then showed him the picture I had taken on my phone, he then proceeded to tilt his head down and wouldn 't or couldnt look at me or engage and proceeded to give me a refund with no apology. I think I am actually scarred by the matter as Mc Donald 's is one of my favourite fast food places to eat and I 'm so disappointed at the level of service and uncleanliness of the restaurant. I also visit this restaurant a lot, as it is next to where i work. This is the first time this has ever happened to me, but my work colleague advised that she has also experienced similar experiences at this branch. This could have been cross contamination if I had eaten that burger"

"This place is a bit rubbish, I’m afraid. At these prices, it should be so much better. The layout is stupid, with no thought given to traffic, or where and how people will queue so we were all constantly bumping into each other. Today the staff were all sulky teenagers: morale is clearly not high. They were all grumpy and gloomy. We were greeted in a surly manner, we were never offered or directed to cutlery or napkins, no smiles it was all begrudging. Cakes and coffees were good, but coffee was served in unrecyclable paper cups, not nice to drink out of, and cake served on a plasticised cardboard box, again unrecyclable, and hard to eat out of. Apparently they haven’t heard of china cups or plates. Or, indeed, caring for the environment. This could be a nice place with a little more commitment from management to think about customer comfort, staff morale, and being a but greener. Please try harder. A lot harder, actually."

"I had Sunday lunch at this restaurant today, and it turned out to be a great find. They serve delicious homemade food, not just reheated in the microwave but proper homemade dishes. I started with a wonderful soup, followed by a vegetable curry. The rest of my party opted for the Sunday roast beef, which also looked fantastic. We received a warm welcome and our reserved table was ready for us. This restaurant is a hidden gem in the picturesque Kent countryside, located in a charming old village. I highly recommend giving it a try, especially the delicious vegetarian option of the veg curry."

"I can't stop thinking about one of the best vegetarian dishes I've ever had. The fusion main course combined Asian, Middle Eastern, and British flavors. The Aubergine sweet potato dish consisted of triple-cooked sweet potato sesame wedges, bbq miso aubergine wedges, chili peanut satay sauce, char-grilled bok choy, sumac yogurt, pomegranate, and flaked almonds. It was not only beautiful but also incredibly tasty - I almost wanted to lick the plate clean. I adored The Little Garden, located in a hidden square in Sevenoaks town center. The service was friendly, the interior design was stylish and detailed (I particularly liked the green and white wallpaper). The restaurant aims to be intriguing and definitely succeeds. The food is outstanding - I already have my eyes set on another dish that was unfortunately sold out on my visit, so I'll have to come back for it."
