"The menu offered a good selection for both meat lovers and vegetarians. I opted for the prawn cocktail, which was delicious and beautifully presented. I also tried the hot salmon salad, but I’m not sure why it was labeled as "hot" since everything was served cold and lacked any sharpness. The salad itself was pleasant, and I ordered a side of potatoes that were cooked to perfection.
Unfortunately, there was an overwhelming amount of salt present in many of the dishes. We also ordered a halloumi burger and fries, which were practically inedible due to the excessive salting. It seemed like there may have been a mistake in the kitchen, or perhaps the cook was distracted and added salt twice. We even requested another serving of fries that were less salty, which we may or may not have "borrowed" from a neighboring table!
On the positive side, the chicken wings, sausages, and regular burgers were well-executed. However, I was really looking forward to trying the waffle with strawberries and ice cream, and I was let down. It came with just one strawberry, which was perfectly ripe and nicely presented, but really? Just one strawberry hardly qualifies as “berries.” I had assumed the ice cream would be vanilla, but it turned out to be a salted caramel flavor instead, which would have been nice to know either from the menu or the waitress.
The waffle itself, however, was warm, fresh, and perfect. Overall, it was a great disappointment given the potential this restaurant has."
