"Historic restaurant in Livorno, very rustic and spartan environment, I believe that nothing has ever changed since it was opened until today and in any case in the end it is this aspect that denotes its uniqueness. I went for the cacciucco, so praised by those who advised me to go and eat it here. Honestly, it wasn 't bad, but it wasn 't a dish to remember for a lifetime either. I appreciated the fact that there was poor fish such as conger eel, but at the same time the quantity of tomato was excessive for my taste, however overall it was a more than eatable dish. The dose is important, the boy in the room said 1.5 kg, and in fact it was hard for two of us but we did it , together they brought the fried scagliozzi (fried polenta). To clean your mouth, a fried fish without bones and I have to say 10/10, fried very well, crunchy and tasty. Little choice of wines, but what I think is right, in a restaurant like this you drink the house wine which is also good. To finish, lemon sorbet and Livorno-style ponce, I 'll open a small parenthesis on the latter, it was good and special but a little cold, when the punch arrives at the table it must have the temperature of lava! Guys in the room, young and smart. I count 100 euros for two. Can we stay there?? Yes, OK! The quantity of cacciucco was large, we took a slightly different bottle of red (wrong in my opinion) plus all added and connected a 50 each, which is not little, but it fits... in any case they didn 't bring a menu to table and consequently a price list, perhaps this is a moment to review. One thing that struck me?
