"I had been meaning to visit the Green Room for a while now as I always walk past it and it looks really nice. So when I got to pick the team lunch destination I picked this one. The menu looked fresh and tasty and there was a good selection of drinks. I had the burger with chips and I was very happy with it. While they only have one option and it is pretty simple without any fancy extras, the patty was juicy and slightly n the salty side like I like it and the bun was very fresh and soft. I wish all my burgers were like that. The chips were also very yummy and full of flavour. My colleagues also tried the squid and the chicken and they all said that they were glad I picked this place because their food was great. The raspberry wheat beer that I also tried was a bit too sweet but it was an interesting flavour and after I got used to it I liked it. The staff was very friendly as well and while the food took a little while the atmosphere of the place made up for it. I think it's the quirky decor that has a hipster/reclaimed items vibe and a lot of light coming in from the glass windows all around that makes it feel like a happy place. There is also a beer garden outside for when the weather is hot and they sometimes put deckchairs on the grass so you can drink comfortably. I would definitely go back to try more of their menu and have already recommended it to some friends."

"Kennington £5.40 Amstel A traditional Kennington pub with bedroom and comedy club. The Tommyfield is located on a busy intersection on Kennington Lane and Kennington Road and is just five minutes walk from Kennington Metro Station. At first glance on the ground floor, this pub looks contemporary, but once you look up, you can see how majestic the architecture is. If you look at the top of the building, you can see the original name of the pub, The White Hart. This pub is named after a nineteenth century market that was home to Britain's first fish and chip shop. . The decor here is simple, but stylish. There are a few raised areas and a good size bar. There are many comfortable sofas and chairs for a comfortable pub experience. The selection of beer is simple and full of well-known favorites. I had a pint of Amstel, which was quite cheap, but was a little flat. The lady who served was very nice and gave a warm welcome. The menu is full of British classics with a good selection of hearty cakes. For pub comparison purposes here costs fish and chips £15, which is average London pub price. I visited at 4:00 on Saturday afternoon and the pub was quiet. Apart from me there was a couple with a chat in one of the window seats and some guests checked to stay up in the six bedroom hotel. This Kneipe Kennington also houses comedy nights by @alwaysbecomedy, which presents the best comedic valley around. Current actors are Jack Whitehall, Joel Dommett and James Acaster. There are many positives in this multifaceted pub. The beer and food are cheap and the comfortable surroundings make this pub a beautiful place to have a pint. Information correct to visit 24/09/22"

"I recently visited The Earl Ferrers and was completely taken by the charm and warmth of this delightful pub. What sets this place apart is not just the cozy atmosphere or the excellent selection of drinks, but the heart and soul poured into it by Duncan, the friendly landlord. From the moment you walk in, Duncan makes you feel like you're part of the family, greeting guests with a smile that's as genuine as it is welcoming. The pub itself exudes a traditional vibe, with a comfortable and inviting interior that makes you want to settle in for the evening. Whether you're there for a quiet pint or to enjoy the lively atmosphere on a busy night, The Earl Ferrers caters to all. The selection of beers, ales, and spirits is thoughtfully curated, ensuring there's something for everyone's taste. Moreover, the food is a delightful surprise, far surpassing your typical pub fare, with each dish prepared to perfection and presented with care. But, it's the personal touch from Duncan that truly makes every visit memorable. His knack for remembering names and faces, along with his willingness to go the extra mile to ensure his guests have a great time, is commendable. Whether offering recommendations from the bar or sharing a story, Duncan's hospitality is unmatched. The Earl Ferrers is more than just a pub; it's a community hub where friends meet, families gather, and newcomers are welcomed with open arms. Thanks to Duncan and his team, this pub stands out as a beacon of friendliness and quality in Streatham. I cannot recommend it highly enough for anyone looking for a genuine pub experience where they're treated not just as customers, but as friends."

"first time at this PE location, but have had PE many times at other restaurants, this is the worst I have had. Out for pizza with a friend in Herne Hill 9.30-10.45pm on Fri 11th May 2024. after a wait of a minute or 2 to be acknowledged, we had a friendlyish welcome. From then, the waitress who served us gave minimal friendliness, no effort to create an environment where we felt welcome to eat. NO checking if everything was ok, or allergies. Ordered a pizza to share, they had to go away and get a second plate when it arrived despite it being on the order. My friend was ready for dessert before me so asked for a billionaire sundae with no chocolate, it came with the chocolate on top, the waitress slid it on to the edge of the table sideways with no words of 'here you are, enjoy ' or anything of the like. We then waited to get attention of staff asked a different waitress for an alternative ice cream because it had come with a chocolate on it, she took it away and took the order for different option. (We had both finished pizza and plates were clear at this stage. The first waitress came back to confirm, and brought the ice cream over, again with little friendliness and walked away. She didn 't check with me if I then wanted a dessert, it took over 5 minutes to catch her eye again to order some ice cream for myself, again it was placed in the middle of the table then pushed towards me, with no warmth, it was a smaller amount than my friend and I had to spit out the strawberry piece on top as it tasted mouldy. Staff were side tracked with delivery orders at times which was off-putting. When the bill came the sundae was still charged for despite the no chocolate request not being fulfilled and it being inedible by my friend. We didn 't challenge it, but am bringing to your attention, the service failed these two customers on this occasion. All in all a disappointing experience. The second waitress was more friendly and attentive, but the mood around the experience had been spoiled already by the actions of the first. The pizza was perfect!"
