"General Conclusion (for the quick reader in advance) The Ammos under the current leadership is one of the few exceptional Greeks in the region, which I can recommend. Until now, God knows why he made a bow around what turned out to be a mistake today. If you are looking for real, natural Greek cuisine at affordable prices here is in the right place. It was there for the first time today, but certainly not for the last. Location The Ammos is easy to reach, both by car and by train. The parking problem is well solved. At à la carte guests, the restaurant takes over the parking fees of the nearby parking garage. Unfortunately, the environment is not very appealing. The founding period Villa in bright clinker construction on the edge of a magnificent nature park (beer garden), lies like an oasis in the middle of quite ugly concrete blocks of the post-war period (commercial area), close to Teckcenter and Kreiskrankenhaus. Once you sit inside you can forget the whole drum of Herum. Motivation Have discovered the ammos (named after a homonymous Cretan village) purely by chance recently in passing. Since the entrance area has not addressed me particularly, I tried to make a little smarter with the HP. This is very interesting, an absolute opposite to what I had seen before. In addition, the restaurant has not been listed at RK. Now curiosity was no longer to brake. That's why I decided to take my middle dinner there today. Welcome I was warmly welcomed at the entrance of the beer garden by the managing director Filos Vassilios, who was in service today. Adrett dressed (black trousers, burgundy polo shirt with golden logo, black apron) an impressive figure. He generously gave me the choice of my table. He was willing to answer my questions and assured me that neither Glutamate nor Convinience products are used in his kitchen. Everything is freshly prepared, seasoned only with salt, pepper and herbs. He proudly explained to me that only olive oil of the premiun class is used, namely the Cretan Kolymvari. Service Shortly after I had set myself, he brought the menu and asked for my drink request. It doesn't matter to Greeks because I usually drink a retsina of Malamatina, especially in hot afternoons. He served the order barely 5 minutes after the recording. With it was a very pleasant Ouzo (on the house). Even the main court did not wait long. He had everything full. Everyone, even so small, Wink was registered immediately. Again and again he or she came to the table and inquired whether everything was okay. Some other people could cut off a slice. The menu includes 10 pages. It is very meat or fishy. After all, there are 2 vegetarian dishes. Prices are between €10.50 and €20.50. There is also a daily ticket for the lunch table with 18 dishes between 6,50 and 8, €. Last but not least, the menu is also a small map with 5 special recommendations of the house. My food and drink After a short study of the daily menu and after obtaining the assurance that everything is freshly prepared, I decided for Souzoukakia meat cubes with tomato sauce, rice and mixed salad 6.50 € Galaktobureko leaves dough filled with grits cream, sour cherries in syrup and vanilla ice cream 4.50 € Souzoukakia was a neat portion (three shallow meat cooked fresh). Sculpted with a knife of interestingly decorated tomato rice and a ball Tsatsiki (homemade), garnished with an orange slice. The natural sauce was dull around the meatballs, rice and tsatsiki. There's nothing in the sauce. From the main dish I decided until then not to try the offered galactobureko for calorie bombs. I didn't regret the decision. The pale pastry very airy with subtle sweetness (not as fat as usual), filled with an equally fluffy cream with a light vanilla flavor, crowned with a ball vanilla ice cream and four sour cherries in syrup a delicious treat. The retsina was very good for the court. 9, € for half a litre, however, a high price. He had ordered him from the wrist because he wasn't on the map and didn't ask me about the price before. The additional glass of mineral water was also well paid at 2, €. Finally, there was an original Greek mocha on the house. Now everything was round. Well saturated I made myself on the way home, to come back with the firm intention soon. A successful compensation for the day-old spies. The ambience outdoor area The house is presumably an earlier factory villa of the founding period with white clinker facades and the then usual snorkels. The main entrance, which can only be reached via several steps (unfortunately not wheelchair accessible), does not seem inviting. If you follow the chalk described on the table beer garden set up in front, open with arrow to the right, you get the first whow. Beer garden Around the first corner you enter a beautiful park (gen. beer garden). Two huge beech and a pointed maple donate a very pleasant shade. Thank God this oasis was preserved in the middle of the commercial area. Parts of the area are paved, furnished with comfortable baskets and garden tables. The few sun areas are equipped with elegant beige textile large sun umbrellas (without advertising print). In short, a place to feel good at this heat. What the HP promises is well kept. Here, most of them play on one level, with the exception of the toilets, which are in the basement. From the floor plan the restaurant is in several rooms or Rooms are divided, some of which remind you of Séparées. Here you can bury yourself in the evening too. The modernly ground, bright bottoms made of fish grater parquet ensure a pleasant climate. The chosen, colourfully matched upholstered chairs and tables are very simple, yet tasteful and yet comfortable. During the decoration, the pseudo Hellenistic Schnack was obviously dispensed with. Very pleasant. Just discovered two amphores, the vineyard in the stairwell and the spirit crow. I almost forgot, on all tables there is a pepper and salt mill. Toilets The system meets the highest standard. Design-related, unfortunately not barrier-free. Whether it's an elevator is withdrawn from my knowledge, if necessary in advance. Cleanliness All rooms taken in gaze formally flash from cleanliness, as well as the toilets. No one, I could make up for that little stick."
