"Wir haben vor kurzem von einem neuen Italiener in Unterbach gehört und haben das Restaurant Toscano auch kurzerhand aufgesucht. Das Toscano gehört zum Tennisclub Unterbach und wird von Antonio und seiner Frau betrieben. Beim Betreten des Restaurants wurden wir freundlich empfangen und haben auch sofort einen Tisch bekommen. Die kleine feine Karte bietet eine Auswahl von leckeren Vorspeisen wie die Klassiker Carpaccio, Vitello Tonnato sowie Salaten. Pastagerichte und die klassische Pizza dürfen natürlich nicht fehlen. Wer dann aber doch Fisch und Fleisch vorzieht, kommt auch hier zu seinem Genuss. Mein Mann hat sich bei der Vorspeise für ein Thunfischtartar entschieden. Dieses war geschmacklich ein Volltreffer, frisch, perfekt abgeschmeckt ... grandios. Ich selbst habe die Jakobsmuscheln und Gambas mit Linsen bekommen. Die Linsen war fein und die Jakobsmuscheln perfekt gebraten. Zum Hauptgang haben wir für mich die Medaillons vom Kalb mit Spargel bestellt und für meinen Mann die Lammkoteletts. Diese standen zwar nicht auf der Karte, wurden uns aber mündlich angeboten. Das Kalbsfleisch war zart rosa gebraten und stimmig mit der dazugegeben Trüffelsauce. Der Spargel war für meinen Geschmack perfekt bissfest zubereitet und war mit etwas geschmolzener Butter angerichtet. Die Lammkoteletts war sehr gut gebraten, nicht trocken ... Leider war für das Dessert kein Platz mehr, auch wenn die Desserts ansprechend zu lesen waren. In Summe waren begeistert und hatten einen fantastischen Abend. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen, vor allen Dingen, wenn der Sommer in vollen Zügen da ist. Dann werden wir das Essen demnächst auf der Terrasse genießen und dort einen schönen Abend bei leckerem Wein und italienischem Essen ausklingen lassen."

"Der 1. Eindruck ließ hoffen: der Gastraum nett möbliert und gut eingedeckt, die Fensterdeko passte zur Wandfarbe und die Deckenverkleidung des großen Raums ist sehenswert. Ja, und das war's auch schon. Die Vorspeisenplatte zu kalt, die Fischsuppe annehmbar. Der Pino Grigio richtig, es gibt keine Weinkarte! grauenhaft. Während der laaaangen Wartezeit auf das Hauptgericht breitete sich extremer Küchendunst aus. Lange bevor das Essen an einem anderen Tisch serviert wurde, war erkennbar, um was es sich handelte. Diese Geruchsglocke wurde mit jedem Menü ausgeprägter. Abluft??? Wohl nicht. Aber das erklärt die weit offen stehende Balkontüre. Dann kam unsere Bestellung: Saltimbocca a la Romana. Unbeschreiblich schlecht. Zuvor war schon hörbar, wie das Fleisch in der Küche gehämmert sorry, nämlich NICHT geklopft wurde muss ne Menge vergeblicher Arbeit gewesen sein . Zwei große bleiche Lappen, auf denen ein Stück Schinken und, kam erkennbar, darunter ein Blättcher Salbei plaziert waren. Von Gewürzen keine Spur. Die dazu servierten Kartoffeln sahen zwar, im Gegensatz zum Fleisch, gut aus, waren aber leider fast roh. Die Sauce schien zu 90 aus dem schlechten Wein zu bestehen und war nichts als sauer. Einzig essbar der Blattspinat. Da unsere beiden Teller voll blieben, hat der nun erst recht nicht gut gelaunte Patrone auf die Bezahlung verzichtet und uns einen Espresso angeboten. No, grazie! Alle Kleidungsstücke mussten zum Lüften über Nacht raus, die Haare gewaschen werden. Dieses PASSIONE war eine Efahrung. Aber eine die KEINESFALLS wiederholt werden sollte."

"You can't find a better deal on breakfast! I am so shocked by the reviews here. I had a delicious order of waffles and a class English breakfast for around 11 euros. If you're from the US, this place is like an IHOP for a FRACTION of the cost. We also had mimosas, which happen to be a brunch staple. I absolutely love this place and will be back very soon. I am telling you that for the price point, you will not be disappointed."
