In our conversation, my family and I discovered that Patrick has a restaurant. So we took our...entire family to dinner people). During our dinner, Patrick came out from the kitchen to offer both insights on the cuisine and even important historical lessons about the cuisine. The food is delicious and crafted with attention to detail, including a wonderful Lamb Berger, Cordon Bleu, and Jaeger Schnitzel. If you are ever in Heidelberg, I implore you to make/take some time with Patrick and his staff to enjoy some fine cuisine and elaborate conversation. Patrick goes above and beyond to make it an experience rather than just a meal."

"We stopped at Darwisch for dinner after coming into town on a group tour. It was within walking distance of our hotel and the center of town. We’d never eaten Persian food before, and everything was incredibly delicious. I don’t know what marinade was put...on the chicken, but it was tender and savory. Every dish was excellent. Fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The staff weren’t English speakers, but we were able to do fine pointing at the menu. (They did have English menus The only downside was that the staff didn’t let us know their credit card machine was broken until after we were presented with the bill. We had cash, but others in our group did not. It would have been helpful to know that before ordering."

"Ma femme et moi étions en visite à Heidelberg ma première, sa deuxième visite, ce restaurant était près de notre hôtel, avait l'air bien et avait de bonnes critiques sur Trip Advisor, nous avons donc dîné là-bas le vendredi août.C'était facile à trouver dans un coin, nous avons mangé .. .à l'extérieur qui était bien sauf pour les abeilles et les mouches pas pire que la normale pour manger à l'extérieur. La nourriture, j'avais des calamars frits, ma femme avait du veau, était bonne mais pas exceptionnelle. Leur carte des vins était très bonne avec de bons prix. La meilleure partie de la soirée a été le serveur,?, Il était au top de tout et a fourni un excellent service par rapport au service médiocre typique en Europe"

"The food here is amazing! We had anti pasta to share for starter and the selection was fabulous. Not too heavy and really tasty. I had the veal with Gorgonzola sauce and it was delicious. My husband had the steak which was also excellent. The...deserts were amazing! I can highly recommend the tiramisu and the rhubarb tart. The staff were very friendly and attentive and if you want to practice your Italian they will oblige!!!"

"Wir hatten in diesem Restaurant in der Vergangenheit schon einige gute Erfahrungen gemacht. Heute Abend haben meine Frau und ich zwei Falafel-Wraps bestellt. Diese schmeckten diesmal überhaupt nicht, geschmacklos und versalzen und auch irgend wie seltsam . Nach einiger Zeit merkten wir, dass uns beiden aber nach dem Genuss der beiden Falafel immer übler wurde. Zu Hause musste meine Frau sich übergeben. Der Apettit auf dieses Restaurant ist uns gründlich vergangen. Nie wieder. Ich ziehe in Erwägung, diese Erfahrung beim Gesundheitsamt zu melden ..."

"Lunch was included at this restaurant as part of the Viking River Cruise Cities of Lights on The Idun. The restaurant and staff were prepared in advance but unfortunately all of the tour groups arrived at this place at the same time and it became very busy. Lunch was a set menu which included wine, soft drinks, and local pilsner beer. Salad was fresh and crisp but the dressing was a little bland. The main course was a chicken breast in gravy with spätzle and reheated mixed frozen vegetables. Dessert was also included as was bread and butter. Service was decent even with the large size of the group that showed up. This would be a restaurant that I would revisit on my own when not as busy."

"Good atmosphere, friendly helpful staff, especially if you don't know German (our waitress translates both menus for us extremely helpful if there is no English menu). Many wine options, tapas and main dishes. We ordered the filets of Rumpsteak as tapas that was very beautiful. For our net: duck fillets with vegetables. European bass with a single prawn on the top of the Risotto. 200g medium size steak with bacon wrapped vegetables and potatoes. We enjoyed our meals very much."

"Great traditional restaurant with tasty German cuisine and ECHTEM Service! We were here for three on Saturday night. Book it! The restaurant is very nice and tastefully decorated, relatively dark/satisfactory and very clean. The atmosphere is very cozy and creates a pleasant feeling. We were guided to the table by a very nice, competent, young men and then served great by mainly a young very friendly service. It was asked several times if everything would fit and whether the food would taste. Occasionally smalltalk existed above although very busy operation prevailed. The beer is excellent and is served from 0.5L in the Steinkrug. The food was relatively fast and was just as impeccable, very tasty! As a dessert there were Kaiserschmarn, who was not suitable for original Austrian but nevertheless good. Thanks for a nice evening and the WIRKLICH great service, which has unfortunately become rarity nowadays. Absolute recommendation!"

"In diesem Jahr waren wir ein paar mal bei Dufke. Bietet sich an, wenn man im Ort fußläufig ins Restaurant gehen kann. Wir hatten, egal zu welcher Jahreszeit, keinen Grund für Beanstandungen. Auch nicht, als wir mit einer größeren Gruppe zu Gast waren. Das Team arbeitet unaufgeregt und alle sind sehr nett. Auch wenn der Biergarten voll war, wurden wir immer sehr höflich bedient. Es wird ehrliche deutsche Küche geboten, von leicht bis deftig. Das Angebot reicht von einfachen Kleinigkeiten bis hin zu sehr leckeren Wildgerichten im Winter. Im Sommer empfiehlt sich der kleine aber nette Biergarten im Innenhof mit leckeren Schmankerln oder diversen Salaten. Ein cordon bleu aus der Pfanne geht immer, im Winter sind die Wildgerichte auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert. Liebe Grüße an das ganze Team, wir kommen gerne wieder."

"I highly recommend the Mixspieß in the Golden Star! The name does not suggest that it is a Greek restaurant but what is behind it can be seen quite well. As I said, I usually order a mixed spear or another mixed dish. The mix is pork, Cevapcici and Pommes. Of course, a dip and a small salad that is not even so small! All then for not even 9 €. With a drink you get well for 12€. The quality fits and the service can also be seen. I haven't been waiting for my food for a long time. But you must like the ambience. Even at the furnishings it is not possible to close to a Greek restaurant. Rather good bourgeois with lots of wood, more like a German restaurant."

"Sahara is my favorite restaurant in Heidelberg-Altstadt. The staff is very friendly and responds to the wishes of the guest. All dishes I had so far were very good, especially all meat dishes are sooo delicious with the Lebanese spices. Also recommended is the homemade lemonade and the oasis tea either cold or warm. We received small pieces of fish, a few grilled vegetables and small salad. it costed euro. Beer and pizza prices were normal. Garden sitting was ok. Sitting was not very comfortable. Metal chairs and big very average looking tables. Parking limited"

"good ol ́ german cozyness" in spite of the touri edition in the old town is omitted. eating was good, but not overwhelming. an excitingly announced appetizer, e.g., turned out to be a gurken pencil in creme fraiche, which were covered with two small lachs and sprinkled. my crème Brûlée had a very easy tweeper-like absenton - perhaps in the kitchen or in the cooling something got off. I should have told you. the wine card is quite annoying for a self-proclaimed vinothek. the German part offers almost exclusively overpriced (30 € ) good wines of the usual suspects (kuhn, knpiser, dönnhoff, "TakkaTukka-Schneider", Laible).The restaurant or during our visit, service manager was mainly concerned with auditing the obviously untrained help waiters and teaching them the small service-einmaleins "on the job". that annoys and costs a lot of attention, which you can no longer bring to the hospitable."

"we were close and our host recommended to try this place for a good carving. everything went well until we picked up a bottle of water we had worn and the owner was upset. he told us that we had to get rid of the bottle right away and that we could not do that as if it were for us to be self-evident, but it was our first in Germany and we were tourist. he could have explained it a lot more nicely. we felt uncomfortable and left an acidic taste in our mouth. eating seemed to be in order, but I wish I had read the other reviews. it seems that this is a bad restaurant for foreign tourists, although it is located in front of a bus stop and next to the tourist information center."
