"Booked for 19-00, table ready, but required a little clean. No problem, dealt with instantly. Ordered wine and food at the bar. Explained there was no drinks menu, and informed new menus were due in in, but chap behind bar took me through list of wines and options. Sirloin steak was cooked to perfection as requested, medium rare. Other burger dish for partner was equally as good. Minor point was that chips were very dry and floury. Service overall was good, value for money ok, and we booked to come back the following day at 19-00. On 13/06/22 we arrived and were seated at our booked time. We again ordered a bottle of wine, as per previous evening. There was quite a wait to place our food and drink orders, with only one person on the bar, but she was very helpful and pleasant. We waited quite a while for our food, as there appeared to be only 3 front of house staff members, who were trying to tend bar, clear tables, and deal with numerous carvery customers. Food quality was fine, when it arrived, but waiting time became a pain."
