"Unbelievable starters some olives in a garlic marinade and some nice warm bread with the most beautiful garlic butter I ever tasted! For main I had the classic burger which out of hundreds I tasted is right now top one for presentation flavour tenderness all you want in a burger! My partner had the Portuguese speciality little French was she was so in love with it that she is trying to replicate the sauce at home!! For desert we had slice of homemade carrot cake and chocolate fudge and again top quality! Service is as good as you can get the space is lovely warm and welcoming top 3 restaurants I have been definitely the best in Norfolk"

"Really surprised how good this place was. Service friendly and efficient. Cocktails very good and beer also good. Had two tapas each and some crispy pitta. It was more than enough (although my wife managed a brownie for pudding (which she said was the best she has had). The food was excellent very reasonably priced and high quality. The Cypriot beans were our favourite! £50 for all the food and drink very good value. Will definitely return to try some different dishes. Thank you"

"An exceptionally unique dining experience! Our holiday companion booked Pamela’s for dinner and we were unsure of what to expect, however we were assured of good quality food and a great experience and we certainly were not disappointed. Upon arrival we were shown to a table in the lounge, provided with the menus and ordered drinks. Service is exceptionally professional and friendly from arrival to departure. The decor is most unique and very fun to take in. The upstairs dining room is more casual and I loved watching the chefs in the open kitchen. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. Our vegetarian diner was slightly limited for choice and there was a blip with the main course, however it was handled and recovered very well (we were unaware when booking, however we have now been advised to phone ahead a minimum of 24-hours and special meal arrangements can be made in advance for vegetarian meals). The fish cakes and miso Salmon were very delicious and cooked to perfection. The duck legs had crispy skin, moist meat and a tasty accompanying Orzo pasta. All in all I would thoroughly recommend Pamela’s for a delicious meal with 5* service. Vegetarian options: Recommended to advise the restaurant a minimum of 24-hours in advance. There were 2 starters and 1 main course (featuring pasta on all dishes) on the a la carte menu, however if you call in advance then arrangements can be made."

"Very tasty home cooked in little cafe just of the promenade. Go find it and eat it Situated just behind the flamingo arcade is this hidden little gem. Not just a cafe but also a place by asian ingredients within. You will by welcomed the host and service is second to none. We had some mixed starters to begin. The summer rolls where very fresh and were a welcome break from some of the other fried starters. The Pho soup was very light and refreshing. It complimented our fried power with chilli fish sauce. All In all, a very pleasant and tasty meal with plenty of sauces to try our dishes with."

"The restaurant is on the second floor so you get great views of the harbor. The restaurant itself is has that cozy intimate feel, the staff where very friendly and efficient, service was excellent and the food was delicious! It was my birthday, booked a table for ten people. "Visited Tastebuds for lunch one day whilst on holiday, having seen it throughout the week and thinking it looked nice. The customer service was brilliant and the staff were all really friendly. They had some vegan options on the menu, but the staff were also more than happy to accommodate some slight adjustments to suit. The prices and portions were generous we ordered paninis which came with salad, crisps and coleslaw. We also had lattés which were lovely. The additional outdoor seating area was lovely on a summer’s day too, and the canopy was greatly appreciated when it began to spit with rain. Lovely family feel tearoom with several vegetarian and vegan options in addition to the standard options. Thank you!"

"Worst restaurant I have EVER been to. We ordered mussels, which on arrival smelt absolutely rancid. I asked to change my starter and didn’t eat a single bite. My sister ordered olives which clearly came straight from a jar- and were awful. My friend ordered melon and Parma ham, and was served two pitiful slices of Parma ham. The chef then refused to serve us our mains. The waitress was nice and apologised, but in the service industry this is unacceptable. Avoid at ALL costs."

"Situated beautifully by the canal. Felt friendly when entering and pleased it was a dog friendly Inn. Food was a little disappointing, with the pie crust half baked and the gravy in pie was very watery. Also kept being attacked by flies. Maybe restaurant could do with a clean/spruce up."

"Visited The Smokehouse whilst on holiday at a nearby local holiday camp. Food is absolutely amazing and so reasonably priced. 3 course meal with drinks and upgrades just over £70 for 2 of us. All the staff are lovely, friendly, polite and professional. Was served by the lovely Michelle who constantly goes out of her way to make sure everything is fine. Talks you through the operation of how things work here and explains before hand if there is something that they do not have on the menu rather than waiting till you order. They don't leave you sitting there waiting for ages as food comes out pretty quickly. 5 star all round service"

"Myself and my fiancé was on a weekend away to celebrate our engagement. We went to the restaurant to have a lovely meal, first of all we noticed it was over priced, but was willing to pay the extra, because we was celebrating. But to my discuss, when I asked for a child’s menu (because I’ve had a gastric bypass and can’t eat regular size meals) I got told by the waitress that she had to go and talk to the manager. She came back and said sorry we can’t do that! So we done no more and told her to cancel the drinks, and left. It was there loss because just for the 2 of us we would of easily spent over £70 on food and drinks. So we went to a lovely place down the road, where we was welcomed with Open Arms!!!! It was called the Alexandra Restaurant, it was a lot cheaper and the staff where very very friendly. So if your a small eater, do not go to the REGENT RESTAURANT!!!!!!!!"

"We often visit the area and one of our stops after a walk on the beach has always been the Ship Inn. Sadly, after changing hands in 2019, the pub deteriorated quickly, driving locals and visitors away, eventually closing in October 2022. I’m pleased to say that after coming back up here at Easter, we were thrilled to find that a new local family have now taken over and this lovely local pub is back to what it should be, a lovely locally run pub with good pub food, dog friendly and where you are greeted with a smile. The locals are back to being greeted by name and that’s how it used to be. We don’t tend to visit in the evenings but they often have live music at the weekends. If you ever fancy a drink in a good local pub after a walk on the beach, I thoroughly recommend you give the Ship Inn a try."

"Absolutely incredible! First time myself, husband and son have tried the restaurant and we ordered a takeaway. I’ve eaten a lot of Indian food in my life and this was by far the best, beautifully cooked, hot (temperature) tastiest I’ve ever had. We live near Acle, but we will never use dream of using the local Indian ever again as Planet Spice tonight was another level. Fantastic! We can’t wait to come with family and friends to have a sit in meal as the restaurant inside was clean, smart, beautifully decorated and the staff are wonderful, friendly and attentive. 10/10 congratulations on a perfect Indian restaurant /takeaway. "Visited this restaurant with my husband whilst staying in Great Yarmouth for a few days and had a lovely dining experience. The staff were very attentive, nothing was too much much trouble and the food was cooked and served fresh to our table. I ordered the roast chicken, Yorkshire Pudding and vegetables and hubby ordered omelette, chips and peas, along with a carafe of wine. Both meals were superb and tasted delicious. This restaurant is located along the sea front, so is very centrally located. Overall, we had a wonderful time, loved the food and will visit again when next In Great Yarmouth."

"We were on a day out and we drove past and noticed straight away it looked like one of the best cafe's in the area. We had a very friendly and warm welcome and the staff were very professional and couldn't do enough for you. We both ordered cheese and pickle sandwiches and they arrived very quickly. "a really friendly owner who was really willing to help us as a vegan. they have a dedicated vegan menu and also on a Sunday offer a vegan roast that was rooted and squash wellington. love it! they have a meal with a vegan sausage, kartoffeln and veg for our small child, as they don't have a vegan children's menu, but they have really heard our feedback and ready to add more. try them if they were the opposite as we were, as there are not many vegan options in yarmouth. ps. most gloomy including the crumb, chocolate cake and cheesecake are all vegan! I recently went to a local garden centre and paid exorbitant prices for subpar food with little attention from the staff. Jokers is a completely different experience. The staff truly care, are attentive, and want you to enjoy your meal. You won't find cheap sausage, watery beans, or soggy portions here. Whether you're a local or a tourist, Jokers is the perfect place for your breakfast cravings. They offer an extensive menu beyond just an all day breakfast, but my review is based on their breakfast options. Everything is cooked fresh to order, no reheating or pre-made meals. The staff is friendly and accommodating, even going above and beyond for my children despite being busy in the store and with phone orders. The prices are reasonable for the quality of food and service. I highly recommend visiting Jokers as they have truly perfected their setup. We will definitely be returning and spreading the word about how great Jokers is. Thank you for the wonderful experience and the attentive staff."
