"I don 't really even know where to start with this review. Walked into the restaurant and it was practically empty... should have known. We were immediately told that the value offer wasn 't on... yet there was a big sign outside promoting the offer?? Alas, as its a Bank Holiday, the value deal is ceased. We ordered 2 kids meals (part of which we didn 't get) and 2 burgers for adults (again, part of which we didn 't get). We ordered the most basic, plain, laugable nachos I have ever seen for a shared starter. The nachos were served with very under ripe tomatoes, melted cheese and sour cream. For over £6, it is RIDICULOUS they are charging this. The kids starters were the size. Plain nachos with a side of tomato!?!?! Our burgers were laughable. I ordered the smothered chicken burger at £13... it was 3 goujons in a bap!!!!! Served with chips.... and no coleslaw as said in the menu. Husband was the same, items missing from his plate. The kids meals had gravy missing from theirs as well. The place was very quiet and yet they still didn 't manage to put the actual food on the menu, on the plate!!!! I should have known it was going to be a tight meal when I ordered mash potato only for the server to check if the kitchen had mash on today The carpet hadn 't been hoovered, tables hadn 't been cleared and staff who had as much life about them as a morgue. £55 down the drain and we will never ever be back. Absolute rip off."

"With ingenious delicious food, some of the best service in NI, and a stylish, relaxing atmosphere, there is no way this restaurant should be hidden in any way. I had the sandwich of the Ploughman, and it was huge, filled with taste, and not on ingredients as a vegan option, with a generous serving of vegan cheese. There were also so many vegan options that it was hard to choose, and I wish I was in Derry for more than one day trip so I could eat here again! You have a huge beverage menu with some delicious options that I wish I could have tried. The side salad had what was probably the most tasty salad dressing I've ever eaten: a dill pickle Mayo that sounds strange for a salad, but was so prone that at the end I ordered a salad to take home for dinner so I could eat some more of it. The service was a wonderful cherry on the top: my waitress was warm and friendly, and went over and over with my to-go order, packing everything separately to keep it fresh until consumption, carefully sticky typing the dressings so that they don't spill, and even handwriting me a note about the best way to heat up and the side. It was so sweet. I don't come from a tipping culture and typing isn't the norm in NI, but I'm sure I tipped the way it deserved. The location is centrally located in the city, directly above the main statue and about 5 minutes walk from the town hall and the square. You have well furnished tables so you can have privacy and stay a bit of Covid safe. You have a large wheelchair accessible toilet. I can't recommend it very much."

"Had call to visit here for a large family get together ,first impressions I thought hotel was very quiet for a Sunday afternoon , maybe 4 customers in total about the place when we arrived, all 25 of us including a couple of children, did others know something we didn't . The dining room was bright and airy ,as we waited for everyone to arrive ,the waiter took our drinks order , I asked for 3 different types of beer that are common every else , sorry No, No , Ah sorry No again , eventually we arrived at a beer that both they had and that I liked . Maybe they couldn't handle a group this size but when the order came back 4 of us though they were bringing the rest of the large order on a second tray , and waited 10 minutes , they never came back ,so I went and asked for the other 4 drinks that had not come ,then they brought them with apologies. The food order was taken and my wife and brother in law both remarked the soup was burned , though in fairness my caesar salad was excellent .The main course , the beef my wife ordered was very fatty with at least 33% being cut off and left on the side of the plate , mine was stuffed chicken fillet wrapped in bacon , which I had to send back as it was absolutely swimming in melted butter mixed with enough gray to do 3 dinners, NO Exaggeration. So I got a new dinner with appoligies, and told that it was the melted butter from the veg, Must have been all the veg anyway the chicken fillet was hard as it was overcooked , the mash was soaking wet as it was lying in the gravy veg butter stuff ,only less this time . The sweet was very nice , and when it came to the tea or coffee one side of the large table was served, but the least 3 people on the side I was on never got any tea or coffee and I certainly wasn't asked if I did want any ,but as I didnt , it didnt matter , but it would be nice to be asked in case I did . We then moved into the bar which was very comfortable with soft seats and sofas but empty of people WHY I Wonder .The bill came to £600 all but a few shillings. My verdict on the quality of some of the service and a good bit of the food is **** POOR I am afraid . We only ended up going here because the other two places we tried to book couldn't handle a booking so big on a Sunday evening , and after my LAST visit the the everglades it became obvious why they could have accommodated a group of up to 100 . They need to sit down and asked themselves why that is ."

"We ate in the Ardmore Restaurant on the 29th July. It was excellent. In every way. The setting is stunning with grounds always maintained to an exceptional standard. Inside the character of the place meets you in the foyer and you cannot help be impressed on every turn. We enjoyed a pre dinner drink in the bar and as we relaxed we were given time to study the menu and make our choices for our meal. After a few minutes we were escorted to our table in the conservatory restaurant. The view over the ponds, water wheel and the extensive rolling lawns just added to the feeling of comfort and calmness which is so often lost when dining out. The excellent pianist played a wide range of tunes but did so at a volume which added to the place rather than intrude in the experience. When the food came it was well presented and the tastes were just amazing. All three courses were perfect. Some comments in other reviews state the price is high. The Beech Hill experience is special and the Ardmore Restaurant just adds to this. Well worth the wee but extra you pay. The freshness and quality of the ingredients is evident and prepared to maximum effect by an excellent chef and full kitchen team. The service was excellent and the staff are very attentive. You get a real feeling that you matter to them. They all are happy you have chosen their restaurant to dine in and they all want you to come back again. Well done to all."

"I’ve genuinely thought long hard about this review as I’m an huge advocate for shopping local Romeo’s was my go to. However I’ve let too much slide of late from Romeo’s I’ve now decided to take my business elsewhere. On quite a few occasions the order has been wrong, items left out etc but I was willing to forgive (silly me). However the end was almost inevitable after a large order that was ridiculously late. The delivery driver did apologise I felt there was no point in shouting at them (not their fault) and I wasn’t in a position to follow up as I’d placed the order on behalf of others (it was my treat for visiting family). Hugely embarrassed as I’d bigged up Romeo’s as being best pizza in town. Final nail was when I ordered a kebab in the comments asked for the chips (hoagies) that had been left out of a number of previous orders. (30/4/24) A condescending female member of staff then rang me to explain that this wouldn’t be possible as she couldn’t order the chips off book! When I tried to explain she was having none of it wanted to know why I hadn’t complained previously? I replied that I wasn’t going to necessarily make a fuss over approx 12 chips. Apparently I should have and she informed me that had I done so my order would’ve been prioritised (aye, right) as she wasn’t able to rectify past mistakes. In a nutshell Romeo’s have lost a very (very)good, previously understanding, customer over a dozen chips, 12 bits of fried potatoes… pretty poor customer care."
