"My friend and I wanted somewhere different to go for some late lunch and so we decided on the Cosy Club. Although my friend had been once before a while back, it was my very first time visiting. As you walk in, you're greeted with an almost vintage-y feel and it's great! Old paintings upon the wall and retro furniture too, but that's not all. Ascending the stairs to the top, we got to the first bit of the club which is the bar area and what a fab area it is too, to relax and enjoy and Beveridge or two. Further down is where the restaurant is located and a lovely restaurant it is too. Very ornate with a fancy oldy-worldy vibe, almost like stepping back in time. The decor and glass chandeliers make for a very luxurious, almost palatial feel. The staff were really friendly and showed us to a table where after a short time of waiting, we had water poured for us before choosing what we'd like to eat and drink. I decided to go for the dirty chicken burger and I'm glad I did. The portion size was great, and there was plenty going on in the burger; the flavours were tantalising! Everything was cooked really well and tasted good (oh and the berry cider they have is certainly worth a try! After spending time enjoying our meal, we paid for the bill and were able to make our way, with our drinks, to the bar area to take a sit and enjoy the vibe further. I would certainly recommend the Cosy Club to anyone looking for something different, with a cool vibe and great food. Thank you to the staff for a pleasant and enjoyable visit, will certainly be returning! :"

"We got a groupon deal to come here. I work in food service myself and am normally very lenient with service provision but the waitress that dealt with us was honestly the worst I have ever encountered. There was only my party of us)...and another table of two in the restaurant and the waitress was totally uninterested (sat on her phone at the bar for most of the time). She took the order wrong and we didn't all eat together as my sister had to wait for her meal, she dropped the other tables food all over the floor with no apology. She came over minutes after we had finished eating and asked if we wanted the bill (clearly trying to get rid) and we said no we'd like to look at desserts please. We decided to go elsewhere for dessert as we felt she wanted us to leave. When taking payment from my Dad she didn't even say thank you and proceeded to clear our drinks off the table when they were still half full! It was beyond a joke. The food itself was nice. My mum and I both had the mushroom risotto (small portion but tasted nice), my sister had the fish and chips (which was a large portion and she said was excellent) and my Dad had a cajun chicken burger. We were overall impressed by the quality of the food compared to the awful service. The restaurant was gearing up for a Birthday party so the doors were open letting the freezing cold in and we asked the waitress to close the doors (she didn't) and it took the other table asking for the doors to be closed for her to do it. I could understand the poor service if she had been run off her feet busy but she sat at the bar on her phone for minutes at a time so no excuse really. Unfortunately, the food didn't really make up for the fact that we felt unwanted and uncomfortable for the entire meal. I would give it one star but they got an extra for the food being nice. Avoid like the plague!"
