"I am sitting in my room at the sun inn as I am writing. It's a Sunday. I checked in at 8 15. The one young employee who was in the building was professional but informed me on arrival that the kitchen had closed. Bummer but it is a Sunday. Upon asking when the bar would close he told me 10pm. I decided to go to the shops and buy some cold sausage rolls and a bottle of wine to mitigate the early closing and grabbed a quick single beer in Dalkeith in a bar that closed at 11. My intention was to pay more for somewhere I could have several drinks without driving but I tried to make the best of my origional plan. I got back to the sun inn at 930 to find not a solitary light on and figured I'll watch some TV instead. Only the TV didn't work. I dismounted it after trying to configure settings on the 2 controls. The sky box was not connected sinse it was a flat wall mount and there was only a single accecible hdmi port, out of three, that could be used. That was already oucupied by the fire stick. Now it is sitting on the dresser since it cannot be remounted with both availible devices connected. 40 minutes of fooking around and nothing has changed. The bar is closed. No night porter, no TV, no breakfast and a broken bathtub. All the reasons I paid the extra to come here instead of the cheaper airport option have be removed. The room is nice though. It's as good as an airport one minus the stains on the headboard of the bed."

"Although the meal in the restaurant was nice, is your restaurant description correct. Are you a Indian restaurant or a Bangladesh restaurant. As you are not from India but Bangladesh Martin.As you are aware Indian food has a different taste and ingredients are different as is the rice. "Absolutely shocking the way we where spoken to in this shop.... My wife is exempt from wearing a face mask the guy was very abrupt but another customer was there without a faceask but was only asked after the man was abrupt with my wife absolutely disgusting the way we where treated.... Won't be ordering again and will be letting friends and family know..... Absolutely no need to speak to people the way he did I have one very upset wife she had her excempt card on and showed him it.... As I said we normally order alot but never again and family and friends probably won't want to order again either.... My wife should get an apology for the upset this has caused"

"Under no circumstances ever trust this place for delivery! I understand that in military circles, there is a phrase to the effect that amatuers talk about tactics: professionals talk about logistics . Perhaps the Cavaliere should reflect on this. They are genuinely capable of producing some of the most amazing Italian food south of Edinburgh (I 'm being serious) but the delivery service is absolutely pathetic (based upon multiple experiences, but tonight took the biscuit). Waited ages after the website told me that my order was on its way and, ended up having a quite awful conversation with a staff member who hung up on me and then I called them back to cancel. To be absolutely fair to them, they did say that if the pizzas were cold, they would remake and redeliver. Unfortunately, having worked briefly in the food service industry, once I complain about food, I walk... forever. Sorry Cavaliere!"

"Myself and 9 family members went for Christmas Eve dinner and will never return. Was pre booked and our table wasn’t even ready on arrival, bar staff didn’t know how to pour drinks or even know where anything was then didn’t know how to open till to give change, place was empty so it should never have took 15 minutes to get 4 drinks. When the food came out, server almost spilt it over table and didn’t even know what was on the plates. Some got steaks which were not how they asked for cooked and were cold , chips were old and cold, gammon was not nice and also cold and 3 turkey dinners that were ordered were terrible, extremely dry, weren’t hot and didn’t taste nice at all. All plates had so much food left on them and not once did anyone ask if everything was ok. We did not order dessert as we had waited 30 minutes on someone coming to take our order. We do not recommend this place at all."

"I ordered three single fish, a 12-inch pizza, and a couple of large portions of chips. Unfortunately, the fish was greasy, soggy, and lacking in flavor. The pizza was tough, and my kids had a hard time taking bites out of it. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place; there are better fish and chip shops in and around Dalkeith. I won't be returning."

"C'est la pire expérience que j'aie jamais eue. Je souhaite vraiment pouvoir récupérer mon argent. C'était très bruyant, désorganisé et horrible dans l'ensemble. Les serveurs ne savaient pas quelles tables leur appartenaient. Les gens là-bas étaient incroyablement bruyants, suffisamment pour déranger visiblement tout le monde, et personne n'a rien fait à ce sujet. La nourriture était mal assaisonnée et cuite. Les portions étaient minuscules. Ne viens jamais ici, jamais. C'est un horrible restaurant d'hôtel."
