"Not living in Prestbury I recently found out that a number of pubs in the village were dog friendly. Accordingly I tried a couple of them including Ye Olde Admiral Rodney on the main village high street and took my dog along. Whilst there I heard that the following day an Indian street food outlet was being hosted there on Thursday and Friday called Indian Goat. Apparently it received recent fame by a visit from TVs The Hairy Bikers. The place was fully booked up but I found a place at the bar and later tried the Tangra king prawns and Chennan chicken under their ‘small plates’ section of the menu. I have to say that they were the best Indian starters I have ever tasted and will definitely visit them in Bollington in the near future. The pub is a Robinson’s house with classic trusted beers such as Bitter and Dizzy Blonde. The decor is traditional and homely and sometimes there’s even a crackling fire. The staff were very friendly and professional and attentive to your needs. They do have their own wide menu but didn’t try at that time. Prestbury is known for its affluent population which may suggest stuffy posh guests. On the contrary I talked to a number of people at the bar and they were all very warm and chatty. The pub is just four minutes walk from the railway station so why not leave the car at home like I did. I had a brilliant night and I think this is now my local even if it isn’t around the corner."

"Stayed here last night in room 10 after visiting the Magical Woodland at Blakemere Village. Check in to check out was as smooth as could possibly wish for No messing round spoke to a nice girl at the bar who showed us to our room after giving our name, breakfast order sheets given to us with plenty to choose from (Full English was delicious! . Room didn't look anything like the hotels website but this is not a bad thing the room was lovely and had a refurb by the looks of things. Plenty of room for 2 people, lots of lighting and a modern bathroom most of all it was very clean! Have been on a little roadtrip lately staying at a few different hotels (Including Ruthin and Peckforton Castle but this bed was hands down the comfiest we have stayed in, I went out like a light and even debated skipping breakfast as I was so comfy (Glad I didn't, the Scran was amazing and set us up for the day . Check out was simple gave the keys to the housekeeper and said our goodbyes to two ladies. Overall at £60 for a Saturday night with Brekkie and lovely hospitality then i can assure you this place is absolute value for money. If we are ever in the area again then this will be our go to. Side note: was talking to Liz and Ange when we was leaving and happened to mention we have just had a new back garden bar built we were then gifted some glasses/runners and an amazing Sign Board to take home! It's the small things that make amazing memories Honestly book this place and you won't be dissapointed!"
