"Went for a nice family meal, my son is two and daughter one, and I have a seven year old, one of the kids accidentally smashed a glass! Happens most meals! I asked the waitress who seems to be in terrible mood every time I go to this restaurant, that we may need to hoover the area as there are young kids at the table! Her response was “are you telling me to hoover?” I was so taken back by this response as it is, in my mind the pubs obligation for health and safety reason to clean the glass up! I then responded well if you don’t want to do it I will do it I just need the area cleaned as my son gets on and off his seat! Her next response had my blood racing! “Don’t you think he should be sitting in his seat” this is probably the worst thing you could say in this situation to a mother of young children! I then told her we would need to either move seats or have the area cleaned they refused to do both and I had to leave after calling her incredibly rude with an attitude like I’ve never experienced in my life in a restaurant! My husband walked in to collect my daughter who was still in the restaurant after leaving and was then also told to leave!!! What a disgrace and handled so terribly! I have a two year old child who fidgets like most people’s two year old children and feel extremely judged by this person subsequently I was bought to tears by this judgement young families should stay away at all costs!!! "zen noodle bar in the heart of chelmsford city has a relaxed atmosphere in a restaurant that is clean and elegant. the personal was friendly and welcoming, and there was a busy trade through the door, considering that it was lunch and drizzly. the restaurant runs a good lunch break with two dresses for £9.95 I was in many restaurants before these offers offer and most of the time the deal is restriktiw or the portion sizes are small not here. despite the reasonable price, I found the teller sizes to be what I would consider a full size meal. I ordered the following two meal times: Starter/Sideteller shredded chili huhn the coating is clean and crisp with a mix of seasoned that are delicious. the portion size is generous and tasty as if it was boiled from ground. all ingredients were fresh and with a nice selection of red and green chillies I found the presentation pleasant to be on the eye and satisfied that chili-kick I was believed. main dish thai green curry the rice was very good, tender and soft and fluffy and dry. the soße was tasteful with flavors, but not exaggerated, so a taste experience as everyone jumps over the taste buds. the chicken was fresh and not frozen or reformed huh. it leaves a delicious aftertaste and a satisfying taste. overall I can recommend the restaurant very much. the venue is a good size for each party, and the menu seems to scan everything with a decent and varied selection of dresses too expensive."

"Back in 2018/19 my friend and I were on maternity leave with our eldest children, and would often meet in these tea rooms and enjoy lunch, probably once a month or so, and loved it here. We are on maternity leave again and thought it would be nice to return with our second babies. I can only say there must have been a change in management since we used to go, as we were made to feel unwelcome almost instantly. I arrived first, with my 10 month old in a pram. I was greeted by a woman who asked how many people I needed a table for. I told her it would be me, but daughter, and my friend and her baby coming. The woman asked me if that meant there would be another pram, I said yes, to which she sighed straight away and made it clear she was not happy. Soon after this my friend turned up and we both suggested we could leave the prams somewhere out of the way, we were both told there was nowhere out of the way to put them… I saw plenty of places, and even where we were sat had plenty of room once the surplus chairs were removed. We were not offered high chairs for our little ones, we had to ask. Whilst we were eating I admit the babies did make a bit of a mess on the floor, as they dropped a bit of their food…but this is what babies do. The food was around their high chairs, it hadn’t been thrown across the room, or in the path of anybody else, it was just around the bottom of their high chairs. We of course had every intention of cleaning this up ourselves, we were just planning on waiting until we had finished eating to do so…however the same woman made remarks about the mess on the floor so unfortunately my friend and I felt obligated to interrupt our lunch and constantly clean up…. Don’t get me wrong if it seemed as if we were intending to leave without clearing the mess I would absolutely expect the staff to say something, I just feel that they could have let us enjoy our lunch before making comments to make us feel uncomfortable. In hindsight alarm bells should have rung when it was clear arriving with prams was a problem, I wish we had chosen another place to go that was a bit more baby friendly. We won’t be making that mistake again. A shame really as the food was lovely, and the tea rooms are a beautiful, quaint setting to have lunch, but the service did let it down I’m afraid."
