"We have been regular visitors to Lathcoats farm over a number of years and have enjoyed our visits on many occasions. (fruit picking with children grandchildren, friends etc apple days pumpkin days Halloween etc). Sadly we have found our experience to be less enjoyable lately due to a couple of things. We visited the cafe a few weeks ago and the service was terrible, at the time we dismissed this as simply being busy BUT we tried again on Saturday afternoon when it was fairly quiet and found that despite there being three staff behind the counter it took about fifteen minutes to buy one tea, and one coffee. I have no idea why it took so long, the staff that day did not seem to have a clue what they were doing! However the thing that may turn out to be the main reason we stop visiting Lathcoats is the main shop. There have been times when we have spent a small fortune in here BUT if we come back to Lathcoats we wont visit the shop anymore due to the unfriendly, dehumanising, completely unnecessary plastic screens encasing the tills. These abysmal things just shout Lathcoats are NOT friendly and do NOT want to interact with their customers . Why oh why are these ridiculous things still in place in the shop (if you really thought they actually served some purpose you would not have staff wandering around loose and you would also have screens in place at the cafe etc? And please dont quote the equally ridiculous its for the safety of our staff and customers . The till in the shop is generally the last part of Lathcoats people visit so the experience we go away with is akin to a high security prison!"

"Probably the worst customer service I’ve ever had, we ordered a takeaway from here on New Year’s Eve to which we expected a delay so we ordered the takeaway at roughly o’clock expecting maybe a delivery due to mass orders on New Year’s...Eve. To our surprise Uber eats gave us the notification that the expected delivery would be roughly so we waited till then and it didn’t arrive, so we checked the app and it then said they are busier than usual so it may be which was fine as they updated us. Got round to still no food or update so I tried to phone them on the provide number (which is the same number on every source of social media, website, tripadvisor etc) but no answer straight to user busy so I phoned again, and again, and again and then more times (I wish I was joking) before giving up. On Uber Eats it gives you the option to say your food is late so we clicked that and it instantly updated to so we waited and at we had no phone and no answer. We requested money back on the app and they instantly sent a text saying sorry for the delay here’s which fair enough they gave us money back but in reality it’s a an hour they were late which were ideal considering the amount we spent on the takeaway. We were about to go McDonald’s and give up but at our takeaway surprisingly showed up.. Moral of the story If you want a good Indian dinner I’d suggest walking to India and bringing it back before ordering from here. Driver was nice as pie though."

"Ordered through Just Eat. Customer service was excellent, a member of staff called me on mobile to confirm the delivery address and order which was nice. The delivery man (just eat) was very friendly and professional the food arrived bang on time. I had a lamb Madras, garlic naan keema rice. The meal also came with a free popadom which was nice of them. The Madras was really nice, it was very well balanced for herbs and spices and there was a good amount of lamb which tasted fresh and of a good quality. For my personal preference, the Madras could of been a bit 'hotter ' but of course every restaurant has their own way of making these curries and it was still a great, lots of sauce too which was also good. The naan was good too, a nice size and it actually tasted of garlic. The keema rice however didn 't do it for me, it just didn 't look right, it was quite pale coloured and the mince was a grey sort of colour, it was quite different to other keema rice dishes I 've had. However I can 't complain too much, the meal was excellent value and the staff were great too, plus not everything can be as dine in quality due to the restrictions of course so don 't judge them just for an ok rice dish. The rest of the meal was brilliant. Also the popadom tasted fresh and full of flavour and crunch, I have to say it was probably the best popadom I 've had. So 1) excellent, polite, personal customer service. 2) great service from 'Just Eat ' delivery staff. 3) great quality meal, especially for the price paid. 4) brilliant value for money. 5) most importantly it tasted fresh. Good job guys and thankyou."
