"Great quality food! We ordered their set menu and they came with different degrees of flavor and strength. They have menu for vegetarians or pescetarians as well! I went there three times on special occasions especially with friends and families when they have their birthdays. The staff were very friendly and made sure to chat with us. "Overall, my evening at the Basel Brewery was very pleasant. The staff was extremely polite and accommodating, which made the visit particularly pleasant. The Wiener Schnitzel was good, the French fries were a bit too dry, so one star was deducted from the meal. But in combination with the extremely successful wine from the selection of open wines, the evening could be considered a success. In short, I would like to come back, especially because of the friendly staff and the cozy atmosphere."

"at this year's art basel, the tibits were represented with a very large catering area. just before we wanted to leave the messailämde, I dared another last attempt to get to a vegan piece of cake. on the rest of the ground, it was, unfortunately, totally forgiven. fortunately, the tibits offered not only a vegan cake but also three different. we had the choice between a brownie, blondie and a passionfruit cheesecake. because the cheesecake was overlooked with an irresistible passions facial glaze, we couldn't change and let the brownies and blondiea lie this time. the cake then also tasted wonderfully for passions fruit, unfortunately, the consistency of the "cheese "filling was not ideal (has already quite better) and the cake was also somewhat watery. the floor disgusting had the ideal consistency and a slightly salty taste, which I felt in combination with the sweet passion fruit as very pleasant."

"Das Restaurant befindet sich im ersten Stock eines alten Gebäudekomplexes, der als Hotel, Gasthaus sowie für kulturelle Veranstaltungen genutzt wird. Das Restaurant besteht aus drei Zimmern, die meisten Tische waren um 19.30 bereits vergeben. Die mit einem Michelin Stern ausgezeichnete Küche bot ein 3-Gang-Menu zum Preis von 115 ,-CHF an, das auf regionale Produkte setzt und ansonsten den sommerlichen Temperaturen angepasst war. Das Amuse bouche, eine Mousse von Gänselebermousse und Rotweinbirne, überraschte angenehm. Auch die Vorspeise, ein mariniertes Hamachifilet mit einer Pimms-Gurken-Spuma und Fenchelsalat war für meine Gaumen sehr fein aufeinander abgestimmt undüberzeugte. Dagegen konnte der Hauptgang (Barre de linge mit Amalfi-Zitrone, Tomatenvariation und Gnocchi nicht ganz mithalten, auch fehlte mir etwas die Verbindung zwischen den einzelnen Aromen. Letztendlich war mir die Säure der Zitronen und der eingelegten gelben Tomaten etwas zu dominant. Beim Nachtisch überzeugte mich die Nektarinentarte mit ihrem besonders krossen Boden mehr als die Trilogie von weisser Schokolade und Zwetschge.Die Auswahl an offenen Weinen empfand ich als etwas limitiert. Als Weisswein wurde beispielsweise ein toskanischer Chardonnay aus dem Jahr 2016 angeboten, der die typische fruchtige Note vermissen liess und für meinen Geschmack keine ideale Weinbegleitung zum Fisch darstellte. Auf Nachfrage gab es dann auch einen Chardonnay aus dem Burgund mit komplexem, leicht fruchtigem Bouquet. Der offene Wein wurde uns nicht berechnet. Der Service, bestehend aus zwei jungen Damen, war angenehm und diskret. Insgesamt war der Abend im Bel Etage eine gute Erfahrung, um einen Einblick in die gehobene Schweizer Küche zu gewinnen. Und das Konzept des Hauses ist,ohnehin so interessant, dass sich ein Abstecher in jedem Fall lohnt."

"I just tried the yufka/dürüm. I am still blown away by its phenomenal meat quality. It is made by only rib-eye Steaks, no minced meat, no chicken scam. Real döner with layers of meat instead of minced garbage. I tried them all in Basel. If you don't give a damn about the quality, you will find alot of döners in Basel. If you look for quality, you must visit this one. I highly recommend taking a Döner-plate or the meat in a kebab bread. I am so conviced by its quality, i order yoghurtsauce on the side. Fairly, i mostly will not use them. Best Quality in Town. And very polite staff members."

"I really did not have a good experience. We had to wait 1 hour for our food and there were only two other tables. We did see a lot of home deliveries coming in and out. The staff disappears after your order is taken and does not ask for anything. There was one guy working with a mask on but with the nose out. Then the whole “safety” is a bit useless? Since our server did not talk to us i had to walk over to them and say that my food was to spicy (ordered not spicy . The new one i got tasted just like they added a whole load of cream. The whole spinach taste was gone. Then when we complained about the whole experience the owner came (also because they put 2 naan on the bill, we just ordered one . He started a whole discussion about that we should have seen that there were two portions (is he serious? . Then i said well the food was also not good and we waited an hour. He explained that its normal to wait long for butter chicken (ordered by my boyfriend and that he was full the day before and even though people wait long they enjoy it (not my problem or my life . Whole story about guest is king (he made me feel super uncomfortable . I asked 5 times to just leave it (he kept talking about himself . In total, very expensive, long waiting, not good experience. Please in these corona times treat your guest like you say “as kings”. Going to a restaurant should be a nice and happy and special experience!"

"An einem sonnigen Abend um 18.00 Uhr besuchten wir mit grosser Vorfreude das Restaurant rostiger Anker.Obwohl wir eine Tischreservation getätigt hatten, war nur ein kleiner Tisch beim Eingang oder dann ein Tisch ohne Sonnenschirm zur Auswahl. Obwohl wir nachfragten, war es nicht möglich, einen Sonnenschirm zu bekommen, da es ganz leicht windete. Ich bin enttäuscht über diesen Zustand, es gab leider kein Alternativangebot der Gastgeber. Ich kann dieses Restaurant leider nicht weiterempfehlen."

"Such a large and beautiful garden terrace is rarely found in cities. Easy to reach, cool in the hot summer and beautifully shaded by the old trees. A nice atmosphere in the old rifle house. 3 units: A kind of well-kept beer garden and a very nice, slightly raised terrace. The tables are well spaced, generously spaced, white and elegantly laid out. I found the acoustics due to the distance between the tables to be very pleasant. The interior is spacious and well maintained. We received very friendly and competent service. The food was excellent and the menu varied. 3 courses for us and a “greetings from the kitchen”. Price-performance more than justified. We'll definitely go back."

"Came here for drinks on a Wednesday evening and it was pretty busy! I love the industrial design of the place and the vibe it has. Maybe time to get a live band going there once in a while. It would be awesome! So many options for cocktails and other long drinks but beer on tap is pretty limited to 1-2 options. Make sure you book a table if you are a group of more than 4.. Parking around is tricky"

"Artigiano in Basel is a true amazing dining experiences! This charming restaurant, specializing in authentic Neapolitan cuisine, offers a delightful ambiance and a menu that tantalizes the taste buds. We love the mouthwatering pizzas, every dish we tried was a perfection which came out of that 450 degrees celcius stone oven. They have a nice variations to choose which everyone can enjoy. This time we sat inside. However, when it’s summer I’m looking forward to sit at their peaceful terrace to enjoy pizza. The service staff, notably Fabrizio and Elisa, were exceptionally attentive, friendly, and truly enhanced our evening. From the warm welcome to the exquisite dishes served, every detail was outstanding. A must-visit for anyone seeking for a romantic or meeting up together with friends in Basel. "Von aussen eher unscheinbar, wurden wir innen positiv überrascht: weisse Tischdecken, vielfältige Speisekarte, auch Wildgerichte, WCs sehr sauber. Einen Punkt Abzug gibt es, weil die ansonsten freundliche Bedienung andauernd zum Rauchen vor die Türe verschwunden ist, obwohl das Lokal für einen Sonntag Abend und trotz Corona gut besucht war und alle deshalb warten mussten."

"Feine Snacks und richtig gutes Bier! Wir haben uns fast durch die gesamte Bierkarte durchprobiert und waren sehr zufrieden. Aprikosensauerbier ist göttlich. Ist aber natürlich auch eine Geschmackssache. Auch dunklere Biersorten wärmstens zu empfehlen. Die kalten Platten und Pulled Prok Burger sind gut abgestimmt und schmecken sehr gut. Die Atmosphäre lädt zum Verweilen ein und das Servicepersonal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Preis Leistung stimmt absolut. Wir waren auch mal an einer Brauereiführung in Volta Bräu, fanden diese sehr informativ und hatten Spass am Ausprobieren. Für einen gemütlichen Abend mit Freunden lohnt es sich dieses Lokal zu besuchen."

"The service was acceptable, but the food was extremely dissapointing. I recommend going to any other Italian restaurant in Basel. The carbonara was swimming in oil and the egg was cooked. It was more of an omelette with oil and some pasta. Terrible, for the sake of your Swiss experience, avoid eating here. If an Italian restaurant can't make a good carbonara, what can you expect. Even after telling the waiter about the issue, no compensation was even offered. Very dissapointing. Avoid at all costs"

"I ate here twice during my stay in Basel. The market hall offers a very international, excellent food selection. Here's something for every taste. The next ones have a large selection of drinks with mostly local or homemade drinks. The atmosphere is very relaxed. Clara is a must in Basel. PS: The burgers from la manufacture are awesome! "

"Das Ambiente stimmt, die Einrichtung ist sehr urban und stimmig. Das Essen ist qualitativ hochwertig und sehr gut! Jedoch hat das Personal nicht überzeugt. Es wurden die falschen Getränke serviert. Ausserdem finde ich, dass das personal bei so einer abenteuerlichen Karte die Zutaten und Speisen kennen sollte. Dies war nich der Fall. Alles in allem trotzdem ein empfehlenswertes Restaurant."

"The dishes were visually beautiful, tastefully balanced, very delicate, just as you would imagine if you know Tanja Grandit's kitchen a little, and she also briefly greeted all the guests personally. Unfortunately, the dishes themselves are the only highlight, because the service unfortunately leaves too much to be desired: a sommelier who primarily does not discuss and explain the wine and general accompanying beverage selection with the guest, but simply brings the drink. (But as a guest it would be exciting to find out more about the harmony of the flavors of food and drink) and the sophisticated dishes, which deserve a lot of explanation, are presented precisely in the few words that can also be found on the menu; they are the three or four main components. So it's completely up to the guest to guess what they're eating. Overall, the service is at best standard and that doesn't fit with the star cuisine. Unfortunately, there was no feeling of welcome and well being during the entire visit to the restaurant, which is a shame. In addition, you just have to say, it is definitely too expensive. It's a shame, unfortunately the expectations were far from being met."
