"Wir waren in den letzten Wochen mehrfach im Weinkeller - sowohl im Gewölbe, als auch auf der Terrasse, sowohl beruflich, wie auch privat. Jedesmal war das Essen fantastisch - auch unsere Gäste waren durchweg begeistert. Den Vogel abgeschossen hat dabei wohl das Husumer Protest-Schwein, das außerhalb der regulären Karte angeboten wurde - ich finde: eine Offenbarung! Ich habe bislang nichts Vergleichbares gegessen, nicht einmal Neuland-Fleisch kann da mithalten. Die Zubereitung der Speisen ist einfach sagenhaft. Wir sind ganz begeistert, etwas so Besonderes in "unserem" kleinen Bad Iburg zu haben: französische Küche at ist best, beste Zutaten, eine tolle Küche, dabei in keiner Weise abgehoben. Die Stimmung im Restaurant ist durchweg entspannt, kein Chichi, wie man es bei manchem Restaurant dieser Güte erwarten könnte. Wir fühlen uns dort jedenfalls immer wohl. Eine besondere Erwähnung verdient außerdem noch die Weinauswahl. Wer das Besondere mag, wird hier bestens versorgt. Der Chef hat immer eine ganz besondere Empfehlung in der Hinterhand. Wir haben dort schon tolle Entdeckungen gemacht und unseren Horizont - obwohl wir auch nicht ganz unbeleckt waren - erheblich erweitert. Allein wegen der Weine würde der Besuch sich schon lohnen. Im Zusammenklang mit der Küche wird all das jedoch zu einer ganz und gar eindrucksvollen Erfahrung. Wir werden gerne wiederkommen und freuen uns schon auf weitere Entdeckungsreisen."

"This morning I drove to Harkotten Castle where Colani used to design his round kitchens and today Dieter Sieger designs his furniture but unfortunately was a closed company in the castle café, so Cappuccino is drinking today. In Bad Iburg, I am still a bit at the lake to test the Greek restaurant Zeus at 12 o'clock. The parking lot directly at the house, the bright wall color makes an inviting impression that continues inside. On the Terasse there is already a birthday manikin as it turns out later, the place is empty at these temperatures and so I have enough time to take photos. The young woman who serves me on the terrace is friendly and fluttering on the way, asks in between whether everything is okay and is sovereign on the go. Only the service has not pointed me to the main dish a salad from the salad bar, but I find a salad bar before not so exciting. The menu is too extensive with over 120 dishes, so much I don't need. I chose from the seafood Psito Kalamari: grilled Calamari on spinach bed, with oven potatoes with an olive lemon marinade 14,40. They came on a beautiful elongated fish plate, which was already a feast for the eyes, draped with two tomato slices and lemon corners, the Calamari were draped into a ring and in the middle, see photo a piece like an angel wing with two oven potato halves. That's where the chef really put himself in. Tastefully well seasoned with a hint of garlic and very refreshing at the temperatures with the Oel lemon marinade. The Calamari could have been a bit hotter, but after vacation and a nice combination with the spinach. Overings, the birthday table was served at the same time with 13 food orders and the had very different dishes ordered no matter what. As dessert, I ordered Greek yogurt with honey and walnuts 3,50, plus a water 2 Euro. The dessert was refreshing and a wonderful finish with the walnuts and honey. The ambiance of the interior and exterior was placed very much value. In the front area the two vitalities on the walls. Beautiful crystall desert, tasteful basket chairs in winter garden, the family photos on the walls, the wooden floor, the table with white fabric table ceilings. On the terrace large terracottavases with olive trees, comfortable chairs with seat cushions, herbal flowers on the tables, wooden tables with red umbrellas. It hurts a lukewarm liqueur on the Terasse. Only the white paper napkins are too thin. Cleanliness all in the green area"

"Shortly behind Bad Iburg, the Hotel-Restaurant Zum Dörenberg is located directly on the Schnellstrasse and you can see it indoors and outdoors at the noise level. I tried to escape the car noise and the heat in vain and took place in the back part of the restaurant. Here too I had to close the windows, unfortunately only with moderate success. The decor is old-baked, dark wooden ceiling, evergreen pot flowers, partly consists of artificial flowers. Parking directly at the restaurant, outdoors also available. I was the only guest in the restaurant at 12:30, there was another couple outside. Operation The operation was okay, also asked if it tasted and then shined with a saying we did it? The food 2 pages lunch menus are offered in two different portion sizes 1/2 or whole portion, which is lonely. Each with soup and dessert, optionally instead of dessert, cappuccino or espresso. I had decided for the Dörenberg Krüstchen (hearing after a home dish, Schnitzel vom Schweinrücken mit Kräuterrührei, krossem gutspeck, mixed salad plate and Lyoner Bratkartoffeln. 1/2 serving 13.90. I spared the dessert and ordered a cappuccino, which came so hot at the table that it was impossible to lead the cup to the mouth, crema equal to zero, 95 a kind of milk coffee up to 2 centimeters below the edge and a thin layer of milk, I left completely standing.
