"I travel to Babenhausen every few years to visit family. We have always enjoyed eating at Adler and have even had several family gatherings there over the years. I must say, the food was still as delicious as ever but the service was not so good. I took the family (5 of us ) to dinner. Prior to going to Adler, I checked their website to make sure they accept credit cards. I do not like to carry cash when traveling and typically never have any problem paying with credit card. However, when I went to pay, Andre looked at my card and said "Don't you have any money, I am not a bank." I was shocked and offended. I said, your website says you take credit cards and he said I don't have a website. My sister in law had to pay which angered me even more. To add insult to injury, my ice cream had a piece of onion in it."

This restaurant is next to and part of the Hotel Adler, also a recommended place. I had three breakfasts here and a dinner. Breakfast was the classic European spread with a table with bread, cheese, fruit, cereals, yogurt, etc. All foods were high quality and very fresh. Andre also prepares eggs and offers a variety of coffees and other drinks. For dinner I had a salad with baked goat cheese and a flat pizza. The crowd was very generous and both were delicious.
