"We visited for evening meal on Saturday. I asked the waiter for some advice on one meal and received a short mutter but no help or advice really. The whole experience seemed very rushed and when the food came, it was a total let down....There was also an offer on their website for pre theatre three course for £21 but we were told this was not on offer and the staff knew nothing of it but I had booked in advance and had a reservation on email. We had starters and mains but decided not to bother with a dessert and went into Covent Garden instead."

Booked for pre theatre meal- we arrived slightly late but that wasn’t an issue. Staff helpful and attentive. Food was good. Nice atmosphere.

Absolute joke. 2 of us went. Ordered 2 drinks , 1 not available. Ordered 2 starters. 1 not available. Ordered 2 mains. 1 not available. Ordered 2 deserts. 1 not available. Starters arrived before the drinks. Shocking place. Will never visit again.

menu: varied with many enticing foods. 20:40 clock and was sent away at the door as they close at 22:00 clock. a smoother way for the restaurant could have talked to us and find a solution. we would have been happy with. only the main course and was ready to order us. service 1 star and eat unknown. Terrible service. Below average food. Had to catch the attention of the service staff several times to chase up starters and drinks which were served sporadically. Been to several others in the country and had excellent service and food. Would never come back again. Avoid....So much better places to eat locally.

Terrible service, this restaurant is the dinning equivalent of the titanic, I wish I could say I was drowning in the service but it was more like a desert, there was simply none. When I tell my children about my evening i will tell them...I was transported back in history to a time when torture was legal around and you could starve people. Please close. Preferably by yesterday.

we choose zizzi as it was near the theater and ital is usually ok. we have ordered lasagne. it was carefully presented in a splashy iron shell with a sticky hot. unfortunately when cutting into the lasagne it was frozen in the middle! the waitress. was sad and said I don't know how that happened. the meal was served again, but until this time I had no faith in the standard of the meal. no real apology or recognition of the meal hardly touched. Came here before a theatre visit with our Tesco vouchers. Quickly served and seated and ordered 2 pizzas and a carbonara. All tasted amazing. The cocktails were great, the beers cold and the staff chatty and helpful. Only reason for 4 stars is the automatic...tipping on bills but that is NOT the staff fault and is a London thing and not specific to Zizzis. I will definitely be back the manager was a great guy too All 3 of us enjoyed our evening.

I know it's a chain, but it's in the heart of the covent garden and has to reflect that. hot, airless, stinking. we sat on the toilet. nasty. service a bit random. eat under seasoned. a terrible waitress asked if we had allergies? Weird....If they have an allergy, they simply don't order what they are allergic. she also said that only card payments are accepted, why? cash money is currency that they cannot forbid in the capital. overpriced and not worth. avoid them.
