Zizzi - Carte

We were unable to hear what each other were saying as it was too loud.

I've been to this Zizzi's a couple of times; this time for lunch with a few colleagues.

We had a lovely afternoon dining out with the family. While it wasn't anything extraordinary, the food was good and the service was excellent.

We haven't been here before, it's tucked away in the light , we chose the summer menu £15.95 for 3 courses and loads to choose from on the set menu.

My friend suggested we eat here after we'd attended the leeds Met pre-show for the Art degree students I'd already printed off the 50% voucher and checked Voir le carte

Unfortunately, my dining experience was disappointing. It began on the wrong foot when the waiter kept calling my wife "darling," despite our request for him to stop. The bruschetta was soggy and poorly presented. The pizza lacked flavor and was very dry, while the calzone was bland and overly doughy. The plums in the crumble were excessively large, and the passion fruit cheesecake had a very soggy bottom. The Nero d’Avola was decent, but the Primitivo was quite good.

While staying in Leeds over Easter we visited Zizzi having looked at various options on Toptable. We did make an on-line booking (although this was not on the reservation list when we arrived) and were seated promptly. The food was fresh, good quality, very tasty and plenty of it. Everybody (party size 4) was able to order a different starter and main of their choice; it took sometime as there were many dishes that we were tempted by. Unfortunately we were not able to sample the sweets as no one had any room! We will definitely return and keep Zizzi's in mind when visiting other regions.

We’ve visited Zizzi many times in the past without any problems, but tonight was a complete disappointment. They seemed overwhelmed by the crowd and were unable to manage. It took ages for our drinks to arrive, and when they finally did, I received the wrong wine, so I had to follow up again. The wait for my food exceeded 45 minutes, and when it finally came, I had to send it back because the pasta was bland and appeared to be overcooked. The chicken was practically nonexistent, and the few pieces I did find were mostly gristle. In the end, we opted for just a bottle of wine and garlic bread since we couldn’t wait any longer for them to remake the meal. Sorry, Zizzi, but I’m hesitant to retu... Voir le carte
