Great food in a relaxed atmosphere with great staff. The staff where very helpful and seemed to be enjoying the evening as much as the patrons.

brilliant service with amazing friendly staff. Eating was first-class and could not blame it at all. summer open ravioli was great for a light lunch and the fish cake was full of taste.

We walked in without a booking but one of the charming staff found us a table within minutes. Lovely and spacious interior. All the food was with us quickly, beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Ideal Sunday lunch venue

The title of Duke of York and Albany was first granted in the 18th century, often given to the second son of the British Monarch. The last person to hold it was Prince Frederick Augustus, second son of George III, better known as the Grand Old Duke of York who had 10.000 men whom he marched to the top of the hill and then down again. Strangely, all who held this title died without heirs. Maybe they were just too busy marching.

york and albany is a consistently excellent restaurant. I have been visiting both on business and pleasure for over eight years. the ground floor has windows on a small garden/hoof area and is ideal for lunch. downstar is the sitting area in front of an open kitchen and has a great (and theatrical) atmosphere for an evening meal. the eating is excellent portions are more than sufficient without stuffing them and the ingredients are of high quality. the place is good with very friendly and qualitatiw high-quality employees who are always helpful.

we were just for the weekend that was a gift for our 40th high-time celebration. our room was very comfortable with everything she wanted to have tea coffee machine, dressing clothes pantoffeln all delivered. we had a dinner and breakfast included the evening meal was either a set menu or the cost of her good certificate was taken when she used the a la carte menu that we found a little confusing, but must say that the food was excellent they had noticed that it was our jubile and presented us with a decorative obst board. the breakfast was well presented and came hot and looked very appealing. all employees were pleasant and helpful, we wanted to leave our cases earlier on the day they were...
