the food was good of the seasons. but portioning rice, a little lentils and kartoffels for over euro is already a depressing thing. and since weeks the delivery has taken forever.

the appetizer (katena) was less sharp than feared, the vegetarian mixed plate was a little more smoked than thought. yet in any case a delicious selection and a reasonable price-performance ratio.

Wir waren durch Zufall auf das Restaurant Yatana gestoßen und wollten die eriträisch-äthiopische Küche ausprobieren. Die Inhaberin Mary hat uns herzlich empfangen und den ganzen Abend über mit ihrer Freundlichkeit und dem ausgezeichneten Essen begeistert. Wir hatten eine gemischte Platte für zwei Personen, um einen guten Überblick über das Essen zu erhalten. Es war ein echtes Gedicht. Auf Empfehlung von Mary hatten wir noch ein Amarula Dessert und Kaffee. Auch davon waren wir wirklich begeistert. We loved the food, the decor and the whole atmosphere! We wanted to sample as much as possible so we ordered "Gemischtte Platte". You can always ask for extra Injera (the Ethiopian fermented bread) if you want, it's all you can eat with any dish you order. Prices are very reasonable! The cheerful owner was there spreading her warmth and sweetness. We had the chance to chat with her about Ethiopian coffee, the aroma of the freshly roasted beans. She fulfilled our wish and brought us the beans that were just roasted upon our order and still smoked to inhale that fresh delicious aroma, before taking it back to the kitchen for grinding and finishing!
