Disappointing take away, and poor value. Chicken souvlaki was grim dry and tasteless accompanied by very soggy chips. Kleftiko was a little better but pricey.

During our holiday in the area, we decided to dine at a local restaurant. The staff was friendly, service was quick, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. We highly recommend paying a visit.

Im sure people enjoy this place as was quite busy. We found it tasteless food, not Greek at all. No flavour, no herbs cinnamon etc which Greek food is famous for, dried up stifado meat , pastitsio was like macaroni and cheese , bland. Sorry won't be back

Overall the poorest dining experience during a week in Lanchester. Takeaway portions were small and did not represent good value for money. Especially disappointed with the halloumi appetiser which contained little halloumi and was bulked out with chips. If I’d wanted chips I’d have ordered separately.

We stopped by this restaurant after a day trip to Lindisfarne. The service was friendly. The Stifado was delicious for both me and my partner. My daughter enjoyed the stuffed vegetables, and my son-in-law liked the Pastitsio. We were happy to see they had Mythos beer and Retsina. Just a heads up, they only accept cash.

Disappointing. Ordered 7 pizzas for the family might as well have all been margaritas! The bacon pizza says on the menu it comes with red onion and mushrooms but came with just a few bits of bacon, no onions or mushrooms in sight. The BBQ chicken is supposed to have a BBQ base but didn't and had about 5 little pieces of chicken on. All tasteless. Have had better pizzas from a supermarket.

During our stay at Lumley Castle, we asked a staff member for a recommendation for a Greek restaurant and they suggested Yannis in Lanchester. We checked the website which stated it was open from 5 o'clock and decided to make the journey, which took us half an hour. However, upon arrival, we found a sign on the door stating the restaurant was closed for holidays. It would have been helpful if they had updated their website to inform customers of this closure. Overall, we were not impressed with the very poor customer service.

Takeaway what a joke! We ordered a takeaway today, the carton looked good but absolutely tiny portions. 1 moussaka £12.95 and 2 piatos gyros at £9.95 each. We were told you can’t get the ‘£7.95 special for takeaway’ so ordered from main menu even though piato gyros is on the special menu??? The food was average but such tiny portions, the moussaka was a joke! And asked for no onion on gyros which they put on and 2 tiny slices of pitta, worst takeaway in Lanchester by a mile! I now remember why we don’t use the restaurant anymore either. I think £13 for a slice of moussaka that looked like it had been dropped and with no salad or anything is a complete joke for a takeaway! Called to complain...

Im a senior citizen who suffers from heart failure which means I have to take diaretics to keep my heart from stopping unfortunately the side effects are that I need to pee on very short notice. I was outside this restaurant at lunch time snd entered looking for some one to ask no one was there and it was urgent. Having used their facilties for which I was grateful I looked at the menu and decided as it was lunch time it looked like a good place to eat. I got into my car and as I was suggesting we had luch there an emotes of the diner approached me a little aggressively that their rest room wasn't a public convenience.
