eating and service were beyond my expectations. we have absolutely enjoyed the environment of this place. restaurant with first class price to take the family for dinner.

this place is obviously one of the coolest places in the opposite. every time I come to this place, I am very happy. they always keep their very high standard service and the highest level of the dishes they give. they will certainly enjoy this place. highly recommended. Voir le carte

Newly refurbished inside and out, new menu and new manager!! Fantastic authentic food, in this Hampstead local. Lovely changes, we have been visiting for years and found it has improved even more now. Lots of vegan, gluten free and Jain choice. Wonderful selection of organic, vegetarian wines.

Restaurant completely empty on a Saturday evening. Waiters stare at you whilst you east food, uncomfortable atmosphere. Expensive for portion size but food was above average and tasted fresh. Recommend the dosas, medu Vada the curries and chaats not great. Decor simple but elegant. Very Average experience.

Delicious South Asian food and all vegan. Everything we ate was good but I would recommend the Dosas lentil pancakes. The staff are knowledgeable about the ingredients and helpful if you have allergies. Closes in the afternoon from 3pm to 6pm, which is a shame, and parking in Hampstead is a very difficult without a permit. Voir le carte

woodlands is an Indian menu that is a mix of north indian and south indian. the place is very illuminated with not the greatest ambiente. service is decent, not too big and eating is also not great. london has some excellent choices to get Indian food and that was not one of them. the dosa was decent. chaat was beautiful, I liked the bhalla papdi chaat and dahi puri but the main course was only bad paneer tikka masala and dal makhni was not the best.

Nice decor and friendly service. The food was not great which was surprising as it did take a long time to come. I only enjoyed the Grilled mushrooms which was exceptionally good, great taste and cooked well, the peppers were a lovely addition. Otherwise everything else was poor. The Paneer tikka masala had an awful spice that did not make it taste nice. It was mainly sauce with 6 extremely small cubes of paneer. The peshwari naan was probably the worst I've had, hardly any filling on flavouring it might as well have been a butter naan.

Have been to the other two branches in London many times, and the food of a similar standard here very good. I struggle to believe the negative reviews I've never had a bad meal at any branch of Woodlands, and can't really understand how anyone could come here and not enjoy it, unless they either fundamentally didn't like Indian food, or had a very blinkered sense of what it should be and weren't prepared to be open minded enough to have a meal without meat. I think the Woodlands restaurants display some of the most intelligent use of spices of any Indian restaurant I've been to, and as a vegetarian the variety on offer is a delight.
