Wirtshaus Zum Hotzenplotz

Located near our hotel while looking for some place where locals eat. The portions were generous and nice ambiance. Great staff and very attentive. Loved it!

we are 4 weeks in Germany. we love German eating, white sausage and sprinkling. but the lunch today in the hot-cracked house was the best meal we had since our arrival!

I try to come here when staying at the Maritm Hotel, a ten minute walk. Warm cozy atmosphere with traditional German food. An English menu and fast efficient service are always available. Not fine dining, but good food. Voir le carte

This is a great place for a beer and some good Swabish food in the sunshine. Food was good, plentiful and reasonably priced. Service was warm and welcoming. I wish we had found it earlier into our visit to Stuttgart because we would have stopped...by more often.

The place is really cosy with lots of stuff hanging on the walls and always full of people. Staff is friendly and the food came really quickly. For a really low price you get good food and a nice atmosphere! We were there on a...Thursday evening and could also listen to some traditional german live music.

Goat cheese, honey and toasted walnut!?! Delicious. We stumbled onto this corner eatery while wandering Stuttgart during a layover. The burger was wonderful with tastes I would have never put together. But it worked! The bun did not hold up well use a good...German bun. USA buns are too fragile. This place was near our hotel and we are so glad that we found it! We were in town when the weather was cold and this place was warm, welcoming and with a lovely atmosphere. The staff were friendly and sometimes other customers chatted along...with us as well. Hotzenploz offers excellent local food delicious Schwabische dishes with huge portions and all at very reasonable prices. This was just what we needed!

Tired after a day of travel and walking around the Xmas market, we wanted a quick bite nearby. The staff at the Hansa Hotel recommended this resto and it was dead on. The atmosphere is more of a bar than a resto but the food...was great, the staff were friendly and the price was right. We split a small portion of the breaded pork in mushroom sauce with spaetzel and also the goulash soup. I especially enjoyed the goulash a bit spicy and obviously cooked for hours to get meat tender. Yum. Food and three drinks came to euro. Not bad.

This is a great example of a classic brown-pub. A rustic, basic interior that serves good local beer and superb local food. The portions are always huge with classic Schwäbisch dishes that you always struggle to finish. The service is friendly and everyone I've spoken...to here speaks great English. During the warmer months, there is outdoor seating. Inside there is a separate area for smokers. In the non-smoking section you have lots of cosy booths. During the winter especially, this place will get packed in the evenings and weekends, so get there early if you want an after work drink meal. Voir le carte
