"Although relatively quiet when we walked in, it still felt warm and inviting. Been here before, but this was more spur of the moment. It didn 't disappoint. Nice prompt service, no pressure or orders and served excellently throughout. Between all of us we sampled all the courses, including the coffees (which were particularly delicious... even for 'just coffee ' . I won 't say what we had specifically, but the Pasta was delicious and just right for portion sizes. The pizzas were well received by the younger members and drinks were all good. Definitely will return, even if some may think its at the wrong end of the Main 'Orchard ' street. Its worth the extra few paces though."

Valentine 's 2019 was good, so we booked again but the menu was not as good. However we ordered off the main menu and the meatballs are great. Apparently a delivery had not arrived and the had run out of the steak by 8pm which is not good for a special evening.

Went here with my fiance for our 6 year anniversary meal. Food was delicious we got the calamari, oven baked carbonara and a calzone. Also staff were super lovely and friendly and gave us our dessert on the house since it was our anniversary which really made our day! Would definitely go again and highly recommend.

We had a wonderful lunch on Easter Sunday! The staff was amazing, and our waitress went above and beyond to accommodate special meal requests for one of our group. They were fantastic with my little one, even teaching him how to make sweets without added sugar! The food was delicious, and I can't praise it enough. A huge thank you to Gabi for being so fantastic!

The dining experience was excellent, although the waiting staff seemed to be stretched thin, possibly due to absent colleagues or a manager with insufficient staff. As a result, there were some delays between ordering and receiving drinks, etc. However, the staff worked tirelessly for minimal pay and remained consistently cheerful and polite. It wouldn’t be fair to blame them for the service delays. Overall, I had a very enjoyable evening.

Another awesome visit to our favourite restaurant. Lovely Gabby and her team looked after us so well. This time we came for my Husband's Birthday but I wasn't 100% after not long being released from hospital. Gabby looked after us and made us want for nothing. Meals was amazing as usual. Toilet on the ground floor is great for someone who can't do stairs too! There is now the ability to have a taxi pick you up or drop you off right outside the restaurant too! 5*! Thank you! Xx

"I have had a few take away meals from The Vine Spice and enjoyed them, so my wife and I treated friends to a meal at the restaurant there. Sadly and surprisingly I was extremely disappointed. One of our friend 's found that the chicken in their meal was undercooked (it was still pale pink and highlighted this to staff. It was taken away and a replacement given. The chicken in this was cooked fine, but the sauce was now much more watery and lacked flavour due to this (the other had a nice, thick creamy sauce . My wife and I are both vegan and member of staff taking our order didn 't seem too sure what this meant. During our meal, we had 3 different members of staff coming up asking us the same questions rather than one member of staff being given responsibility for this role. All the staff were very polite, but it was a little disconcerting to be trying to have a conversation only for another member of staff interrupt to ask a question asked a few minutes previously (e.g. whether everything was alright, whether we required any more drink etc. Our vegan curries had several hard pieces of veg (we don 't overcook our veg and enjoy a slight bite to them, but numerous bits of veg were virtually raw and must 've been chucked into the sauce moments before dishing up and my wife found some onion with the root still attached. Also, I did find the meal to be expensive for what you get. Given this experience, I won 't be getting any more meals from The Vine Spice ."

"I haven’t had Thai food for a while and was staying nearby in the local area. The Blueberry looks like your typical country pub from the outside. Inside though, at the rear of the pub is Chor Muang Thai Gastro. This is more like it, authentic Thai food made by Thai chefs. What a delight to find a gastro pub in a sleepy village in the Oxfordshire countryside. I was seated at 6 pm on a Friday evening, as usual I never booked, just took a chance. Perfect timing as only one table was occupied, a party of five who were dining in the top far corner of the restaurant. For the starter, I ordered the honey pork marinated in coriander, soya sauce, palm sugar and honey. It came with a tangy chilli dip. For the main, the red curry with duck which had a rich fruity taste from lychee, pineapple, cherry tomatoes and basil. Sticky rice was the perfect accompaniment. Finally the Thai pancake with coconut ice cream and mixed berry compote sauce for desert. The service was excellent and the staff very professional, attentive and welcoming. I had Madri lager brought from the pub to my table. I was informed they also had bottles of Singha. However, I opted for the on trend lager of the moment. The ambiance, décor and lighting was perfect. The food tasted delicious, no need for details, just to say was faultless. As I was finishing my pancake, the restaurant was starting to get busy. Couples, families were being shown their tables they had booked. So it was perfect timing, for me to settle my bill and tip the waitress. I headed to the bar still holding my second glass of Madrid's finest lager. The staff greeted you with a smile and were very friendly. My only gripe was a large screen showing horse racing which nobody was paying attention to. A gastro pub like this is a place for conversation and banter. The screen just kills the vibe, totally unnecessary. Also two large red setters in the pub taking up loads of room. They almost knock customers over. It's very cosy, people were playing cards which I loved. Locals chatted on a large round table near the window and two twenty somethings sat on bar stools talking nonsense. A great start to the weekend, recommended."
