"I have dined at Wildwood several times and have always been satisfied. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was disappointing. The steak, at £20, was tough and full of gristle. I was surprised by the poor quality of the meat. My friend's risotto was dry and salty, and the pizzas had burnt crusts. One of my friends even had their meal forgotten and had to watch us eat before receiving their order. The service was slow, with drinks taking a long time to arrive. The tiger prawns starter was underwhelming, with only four small prawns in a pool of pink butter. For the price, I expected more. Sadly, I will not be returning to Wildwood, and neither will some of my friends."

Very rude and unprofessional staff for no reason (we only wanted to order dessert for children, but the staff member was extremely rude and then didn’t even let us order) Very long waiting times, with restaurant being empty. Go somewhere else.

Mum’s 90th birthday, family of 12 including 9month old baby. Starters and drinks out pretty quick. Main courses same. We took our own birthday cake for her with balloons. Staff sung happy birthday to her. Deserts followed and more drinks. Aliana did most of it on her own. No complaints, everybody pleased with the food and service. Would definitely recommend and will return.

Lovely interior. However my husband and myself were sat next to a kids play area. Balls from the ballpark area were thrown out onto the restaurant floor because no barrier to keep them in. They were near us and getting in the way of customers going to the toilets. Quite dangerous ! Food was cold and over cooked. My mushroom burger was cold, chips were overcooked and very pricey for what it was ! Voir le carte

The staff at Wildwood are friendly, however, the food is cooked and presented very poorly. The pizzas are basic and overly greasy, with the toppings haphazardly thrown on top of each other. Additionally, when asking for an egg to be removed from a dish, it was simply scraped off the plate, leaving fragments of egg throughout the rest of the meal. It is unfortunate as the restaurant has great potential.

Our first night in the UK after flying overnight and we had hit a wall. The restaurant across the street couldn't accommodate us since we hadn't booked. We stopped in at Wildwood and in spite of no reservation, the brilliant staff accommodated us. We shared a wonderful bottle of Gavi and loved the sea bass. Delicious food and top flight service. So good that we booked for the next night. This is a beautiful restaurant with a lovely staff, starting with the manager. Don't miss Wildwood in Ely.

What a beautiful restaurant. starter and mains were excellent couldn’t fault them at all I had the Philly cheesy steak sandwich which was superb My partner had the goats cheese pasta and she loved it The reason for 4 and not 5 is a family of 9 came in and sat right near us could I please ask in future could you sit families and couples away from each other. If restaurant was full and busy I could understand but their was enough room on our arrival to sit us somewhere when you know you have a 7 ye olds party coming in that’s is my only criticism but I will definitely be back Voir le carte

My recent visit to Wildwood in Ely after a four-year hiatus due to Covid was disappointing. I had hoped for improvement, but unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. The risotto I ordered was the worst I have ever had - dry and lacking flavor, with a noticeable absence of cheese. One of my friends' pizzas was forgotten, although it was eventually comped. Despite being the only remaining table in the restaurant, it took a long time to settle the bill. To top it off, the affogato my friend ordered for dessert had lukewarm coffee. I have decided to not return to this restaurant and will not be giving it another chance.

What a absolutely shocking experience to start extremely slow service over a hour for our food to arrive between the eight of us our food was overcooked, items missing and small portions. The staff had a massive argument with swearing echoing around the restaurant in front of our 3 kids and many others the argument resulted in a physical disagreement, then instead of the staff being sent home they were put back to work one of which was our server so we couldn’t really complain, another argument then took place so we asked for our bill and they decided they would take off the service charge for us , like we were going to pay it anyway.

"My friend kindly decided to take me another friend along to this her local pub for Xmas lunch on the 12th of December which we were all looking forward too, as we have eaten there before. Unfortunately on entering the pub it seemed quite cold as there was no open fire lite when we asked they told us they had run out of kindling, so we kept out coats on for sometime until we all warmed up. Then when we kindly asked for the menu unfortunately they had none of these as apparently they had ran out of ink for there printer so we then had to look at there written board on the wall, which had fish chips added to it. We were then told by the waitress they had no chips lol but you can have potatoes, unbelievable for a pub to run out of chips. When our meals arrived it was quite disappointing for a Christmas dinner the Yorkshire pud was completely flat, but you did get vegetables served separately which were quite a good variety even though there wasn’t lots. We then went onto order our deserts Once again to add disappointment they didn’t have any crème brûlée so the choice was just Xmas pud with brandy butter or ice cream. So one of my friends could only have ice cream as she’s gluten free who always fancies that on a cold day, me my other friend had the Xmas pud that was served in a pie dish which was not very appealing or professional looking it was served with custard not the brandy butter like the menu said. We did complain as my friends Xmas pud was also lukewarm they did kindly apologise warm it up. Because we complained they did take some of our bill. But I don’t think we will be visiting again anytime soon."
