"Have been to the Vinothek at least 6 times in the past two years. Food is always very traditional, but excellent German fare, and wines (if you choose the right ones) are excellent as well. During the day a lovely place to have your cake and eat it too... the choice of tea's coffee's and cakes is overwhelming, and during tea times it is always busy. However, we have gone there for dinner mostly. Staff is service oriented, no faults to be found. As it was a warm day, we sat outside, with our table next to the planted area, facing the park. Terrace is lovely, atmosphere is nice. However, we had sightings of at least 4 rats, coming so close to the table that it was not comfortable anymore. When we pointed this out to the waiter he apologised but said that this "complication" was due to the park at the back of the Am Schlossgarten hotel. We do understand rodents are part of an inner city, however, for us it spoiled a romantic evening, as every time we heard the rats scurrying through the undergrowth. We will come back to the Vinothek, but will sit inside, or as close to the building as possible."

Service: speedy and warm. I asked name of a salami because it was very tasty. A service man gave a memo after searching. Drink: tasty and so many choices. Food: we ate salami plate, blood sausage plate, pieces of shoulders, Fish. All perfect!

Very good restaurant with superior ambience and also a little higher price. Very successful creation with mouth pocket on rust roast. Tastefully good. Parts are also sufficient. Unfortunately, despite the best weather the terrace was not opened, although we had asked in advance.

We eat together with friends via the coupon book Stuttgart in the wine industry. We wouldn't have found the small location alone. We were even more impressed. The food was excellent. We have called on the restaurant on several occasions. The last time it was not to our liking hence we decided to skip a second visit. The wine (not cheap) arrived for opening and decanting only after the starters had been served. The dishes were...mediocre. The excellent fish dish was drowned in a sauce and thus lost all taste. over the choice of dishes has been drastically reduced (might be a result of the Covid situation). Shall maybe give it a chance when it is back to normal.

We went for dinner with a couple of friends after booking on a Friday night. The restaurant was quite empty when we arrived at but some people arrived later and the atmosphere improved. The menu is not wide but it has an acceptable selection...of local dishes. The wine list is overpriced and with a selection in the medium high price range. We ordered and the food was good, but we definitely pay the wine over the normal price you find in similar restaurants. The service was just OK, but I would expect better considering locatIon (inside a stars hotel) and price range.
