Burgers were lovely. The stacked burger was the best my son had all week and he ordered burgers from Stein's pub, Ainsworth's café and Merrymoor

Love Wax: great location, outstanding service, fantastic food, friendly and welcoming team suits families, friends, couples Wax has it all! Great range of food on the menu to suit a range of dietary requirements (would particularly suggest trying the Surfers Salad with Falafel and Biscoff cheesecake if they’ve got it as a special) and excellent sized portions for kids too.

I have been a loyal customer of Wax for many years. During our recent visits, the restaurant was very quiet as it was out of season. Although we did not dine there, we enjoyed several drinks. Matthew, the staff member, worked diligently cleaning and sweeping the area. It was my birthday and I had a wonderful evening. Matthew went above and beyond by playing our favorite songs and even took photos of our celebration at my request. We definitely plan on returning in the future. Voir le carte

This popular local pub/restaurant at Watergate Bay is known for serving delicious pub food with a welcoming staff. Enjoy sitting on the wooden deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and breathe in the salty sea air - it's very relaxing. However, prices have increased significantly in recent years and some may find it a bit overpriced, especially for basic dishes like a burger and chips. Nevertheless, it's still a lovely spot to enjoy a cider on the balcony after a stroll on the beach with your dogs - as long as Cornwall is experiencing a rare good weather day!

Awful experience. Last year went twice as so good but not this year. No longer serve separate starters but didn’t tell us so half the food went cold as can’t eat everything at once. The manager just shrugged and said they stopped as orders were getting missed. The waiting staff looked stressed and clearly knew things were not right. I had to send my pizza back as dry with little topping second wasn’t much better and no seasoning. The burgers were good to be fair, but the chips were clearly reheated. Clearly they are focusing on the tourist market now and don’t care about repeat business.

We have been frequenting Wax for nine years, but unfortunately, this year will mark our final visit. We have always cherished Wax and viewed it as reconnecting with an old friend, but this year, the renowned nachos were disappointingly dry and appeared to have been left under a heat lamp for an extended period of time. It was a struggle to separate them with a knife and fork, and the portion size was noticeably smaller than before. Despite the restaurant being quiet, the same issues persisted with the main courses.
