Just try the coconut-shrimp soup as starter, wow! And the rest of the dinner was great. Perfect wine. Good and friendly staff. Reservation requered.

We were there with 4 people and all were very satisfied with their chosen food. I find the price/performance ratio exactly suitable. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We weren't here for the first time and we'll be back safely.

You will like the restaurant embedded in an old mill . The service is professionell but the food has room for improvement. Please dear chef, take the chance and make it more special and less boring. Good food is more than just nourishment.

Our first experience of the Walkemuehle was for a celebration, with drinks outside and dinner in the barn restaurant. This was most enjoyable so we returned the next day for dinner with a friend. We sat downstairs near the water wheel and had a lovely meal of baked potato/ venison schnitzel with cranberry sauce/pumpkin soup and onion tart from Hessen. There was even Apfelwein (cider) to drink as well as good beers. Upstairs there is another large room and outside a fantastic playground for children. This restaurant can be reached on foot or bike from Frankenberg it is just outside the town and there is also ample parking. Worth seeking out

The food we ordered was very good. The price of the Wilderererpfanne was very disappointing. Two small pieces of meat, a little vegetables, roast potatoes and a small half sausage for 32. Euro, it's said, angry. After complaint, the service informed him that he would forward it to the kitchen. Some time after that, I was asked if I wanted to drink something, but I refused. When paying, I asked about the answer from the kitchen. Then the waiter explained that the food was so calculated, but the kitchen would have offered a free drink that I would have rejected.
