Great food the hake cooked Galician style was excellent, and the Pulpo (Octopus) was the best I have ever tasted it melted in your mouth it was so tender

We finally found a restaurant that had some alternatives to fish! We were delighted to see a meat section of the menu, and ordered suckling pig and chicken with mushrooms. Both meals were tasty and the service was prompt. They also had a menu in English which made life a bit easier!

We had a fantastic meal at this restaurant. The waitress was really helpful and guided us on local dishes and recommended a lovely bottle of white for dinner The scallops were delicious, as was the avocado salad. Large generous portions. We also had croquettes and calamari which were outstanding! Highly recommend going here.

It's Sunday lunch and the families are out in force. It was our great good fortune to find this restaurant close to the river and our parked car. I did not feel hungry but after an appetizer of barnacles and Albariño I was ready for my Turbot. It was wonderful! Isobel had Bruschetta's of Monk Fish and Shrimp and she liked it big time. For our one rainy day we decided to treat ourselves to lunch. We had 2 recommendations to try Vilavella and they were well founded. The restaurant was buzzing with local families. The service was excellent, the waiting staff wonderfully helpful and managed our hopeless language skills with great humour. The food was generous in portion, delicious and well presented. We ordered local specialties, including goose barnacles and octopus to share, excellent, then enjoyed our separate mains. The duck was DELICIOUS. The veal and the pork were also flavoursome. A great lunch treat enjoyed by our party of four.

Hemos ido a comer entre semana, y había bastantes mesas libres, ya que cuenta con un par de salones dentro, más las mesas de la barra y de la calle, así que el servicio ha sido rápido. En el menú por 12 euros hemos pedido de primero sopa (te ponen la sopera y te echas cuanto quieras). De segundo uno de chuletas de cerdo y otras de pavo. De postre piña y melocotón. Para finalizar 2 cafés. Por 12 euros cada uno y teniendo en cuenta la cantidad y lo bueno que estaba todo, me parece muy bien. Tienen la opción de llevarte a tu casa la comida que no consumas, ya que si lo solicitas te la ponen en un envase y te la llevas.

We stopped in Cedeira mainly to try out percebes. The host in our guesthouse had suggested this restaurant. As we don 't speak a lot of Spanish, we help ourselves a lot with Google translate so we don 't bother restaurant staff too much. Still, it seemed like our low level of Spanish was too much of a bother for them. We took it lightly but at the same time, we could perceive the staff was making fun of us for being strangers, and for trying the percebes for the first time (without knowing how to eat them at the start).
