"After experiencing some below par meals in a couple of restaurants new to us, we decided to go for safety rather than further exploration, when in the area. We had dined at Trimani before on a couple of occasions and surprisingly, had only...submitted one review. As usual, the limited menu provided more than enough scope for us not being fussy eaters or exhibiting any of the now trendy food allergies. So I jumped right in and ordered a rather odd sounding starter Crostino, with lardo, warm mozzarella and rocket. It wasnt bad but then again, it wasnt that good. Lardo needs to be sliced thin very, very thin. Its analogous to prosciutto which is delicious when sliced thinly but can be indigestibly chewy when sliced too thickly. If the lardo had been sliced thin, then it would have melted, (or at least partially melted), into the toasted bread and supplied a good base for the cheese. Instead it was very chewy but still quite tasty. My wife had poached egg in what can only be described as hazelnut porridge. Sounds a little iffy? Well she just loved it. The egg was perfectly cooked and as the runny yolk oozed out to mingle with the porridge, it provided a wonderful medium for bread dunking. We both had pasta courses. I had an absolutely brilliant fili fini pasta, (think angel hair dressed with radicchio and cheese. After my initial mouthful I thought I had made a grave mistake, it being very bitter but for every following mouthful, it just got better and better. Thats the thing with bitter flavours, (and only the Italians really understand bitter they take a little getting used to but the results were well worth it. My wifes mezze maniche tubes with mushrooms and bacon was good but a little under seasoned. Only I had a secondi and boy was it good. A beef tartare, using beef from the Piedmont, that was absolutely how this dish should be prepared and served. No lazy mincing of the beef here, it was correctly chopped into small dice and all the better for it. The chef also understood that beef served this way needs a great deal of flavour enhancement and to this end, a delicious combination of pickled and fresh additives were mixed with the beef to deliver a stunning result. The same cannot be said for the accompanying fried potatoes which were pretty rubbish to be honest. Neither of us had a dessert but we did have a very good bottle of Primitivo from the producer Gianfranco Fino, plus an end of meal digestivo from a producer unheard of before. I had forgotten that they do not serve coffee, (or they didnt this day at least). While Trimani may not be up there with the best Roman restaurants, it does deliver food that is well above regular restaurant levels and way above standard wine-bar offerings. This was one of many visits and up to date and Trimani has never let us down."

Came here on our first night in Rome as it was a 5 minute walk. Went in got seated and given menus. Then nothing. 15 minutes of waiting and trying to catch someone’s eye and getting ignored. The vibe was loud and sociable and very...Italian. We left.

We spent the first evening of our trip to Rome in Trimani. The setting was very warm and the personnel was there with a smile and always there to help. We shared some very tasty platters of cheese and meat and some had some great...Italian wine recommended by our waitress. Totally recommended!

man and I love wein, and we are looking for a place to enjoy a bottle after dinner a night. our concierge recommended this place and how happy we were! carla helped us choose a beautiful bottle of red wine and brought us another (from the same weinberg) to rehearse. she wanted us to compare the two. she was so knowledgeable and helpful and made our experience phenomenal here. if they have the chance to visit this amazing weeping.

We came here after visiting the Trimani Wine Shop. It is just around the corner from the expansive Italian wine shop. We brought a bottle over from the store. At the wine bar we were greeted and well treated by great staff. There are small...finger foods that arrive at the table (beans and a fried vegetable). We enjoyed crostini with mozzarella and lardon with arugula. Next we had the rabbit. The food was very tasty. This is a quiet and friendly establishment for a good meal and drink.

Went to this place twice on the same day firstly for a glass of wine. The range of wines was fantastic and the knowledge and service of the waitresses was outstanding. We left and after looking at all of the other local restaurants we...came came back for dinner due to one dish spaghetti with herrings whiich was delicious. We also shared the octopus and the pork with green beans which were ok but we found the octopus to be very chewy. The herrings were the favourite. The wine list was extensive.

After we had tried to find a weeping that was open, we had the pleasure of passing on trimani. it is a cozy weinbar that also serves food and we loved it. we sat down, ordered some snacks and asked for wein recommendations. the personal was. interesting and very friendly, it turns out that we were the first foreign tourists they had since the reopening. with our second weinglasses they brought extra small snacks and a small cheese plate with cheese from different sharing italiens. we really enjoyed our visit and we will be happy to come back when we are in rom.

a bar/restaurant near roma termini just a few blocks from the best western artdeco hotel. very quiet, not busy. it was a great place to relax and enjoy the different weeps. during my recent visit to rom, where we stayed 3 days, we visited this bar every night. the staff was very friendly. amazing weep. my favorite was a barbera d’alba mulassa from 2015 they had. the young lady who greeted us every night was very knowledgeable and took us on a journey from the rose wines to the stronger red, accompanied by a teller of cheese, nuts, fruit and honey. food and wine is very affordable compared to the trips in the states where I come. they will not be disappointed. salud!

This wine bar is a little off the beaten path (well, like a 5-10 minute walk from Termini anyways), but it's a great stop for an after-dinner drink. The company itself, Trimani, seems to be a wine wholeseller/importer, and in the daytime their adjoining shop...is rather active and full of a wide variety of wines and other products, but at night their wine bar is the shining star. We've only ever been there for an after-dinner glass (err well, bottle, or two) of wine, but they do seem to serve dinner as well. The space is small but warm, and there is a bar where you could stand and order if you can't get a table, though obviously if you are there for food, this isn't exactly recommended. The...
