"We stopped here for lunch while searching for family history (my family came from very nearby . It is a wonderful, properly Italian place there was no printed menu, but they told us what they had and brought it out antipasto of salami with their torta fritta (fried bread typical of the region, but different than you'd get it in Parma they do it here in thin strips, out of wholemeal flour and a salad of beans, tuna, apple and mayonnaise, followed by a massive amount of delicious, fresh homemade pasta some filled with spinach, others with nettle, others with potato (the nettle was my favourite . The portions were so generous I thought I might have mistakenly ordered triple portions! (But I hadn't. The secondo was roast pork with mushroom cream sauce. All washed down with the house red which was light and very pleasant. We weren't able to manage a dolce! The food was all outstanding and it was a really memorable meal. The inside is nice and rustic and pleasantly eccentric with a lot of scarecrows, and the staff were very friendly. Considering the quality and the quantity of the food, we paid very little for it. The real proof of the quality of the food and wine was that we were able to walk the 10km back to Bardi without feeling the worse for having eaten so much. Coming here made a memorable trip all the more memorable!"
