Just had a hot chocolate,arrived with no cream marshmallows or chocolate sprinkles. I complained and this was rectified. Tasted very watery,worst hot chocolate I've ever had. A waste of £3.15

I would give this 5 stars but our only let down was the restaurant didn't have half the items on the menu. Otherwise great value for money, easy check in, clean rooms. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

If you're looking to actually receive what you ordered in a timely manner and enjoy your meal with others at your table, I recommend avoiding this place. The experience was shocking and appalling, marked by rude service. Ratings: Rooms: 1, Service: 1, Location: 2.

The standard for what you pay for is horrific. The staff are so unpleasant. One member of staff male with his hair tied back. Arrogant, potentially first or second shift, so understandable why he was taking so long, but never once said sorry I’m new. Waited for about 5 minutes whilst he tapped the screens for some water. Of which is the biggest joke of it all. 2 bottles of water £4.60 Fair enough it’s a hotel restaurant, but not even 500ml they were 330ml water £2.30 each.

I went in for a meal at 2:30 PM and noticed many empty tables, but not a single one had been cleaned since their last customers left. I had to sit at a table that still had napkins and cutlery from the previous diners. When I ordered my food, I was informed it would take an hour to arrive, despite the restaurant being only a quarter full. When the food finally came, the portions were small and the taste was quite average. The staff were not particularly friendly either. Stayed for 2 weeks, visiting family friends. Room clean, bed comfortable would have prefered King Size. No hairdryer in room, but was available from reception. Breakfast was good only white bread for toast. Would be better if tea/coffee could be served to table. All Staff were excellent. Especially 2 cleaners who had to double up as waitresses Lewis, who was very welcoming. Agree with some other reviewers that some of decor furnishings are in need of refurbishment, however also know that this is an extremely popular affordable place for local families to eat use play facilities.

The most,by far mismanaged pub/hotel in North Yorks, There HR management need sacking. Embarrassing! clearly under paying and over working their managers.I have Lost count of how many they have had. The food that turns up is absolutely terrible.here are some pictures from today. We ordered family Nachos with cheese guacamole,salsa sour cream and jalapeños it turned up as the picture will show(cheese and jalapeños)we also ordered chips with cheese,adults £6.50 picture also.How do you mess this order up,that was the plan anyway. We got our money back and went to spoons 5 minutes away.I will add there pictures.There the ones that looks tasty. Sleep tight hotels,how ironic is the name.

Faulty Towers of Selby! I have stayed here several times over the last year or so on work trips. This is a contractors hotel. There is always a problem with the room you will experience at least one of the following. All staff from the top down have an attitude. Dripping tap. Key card will not work. Room door will not lock from the inside. Hair shavings left in bath from previous guest. Trim missing from the desk in the room. Food and sweets under the bed. On the positive side there are always rooms available! The WiFi is normally working. Rooms: Dirty, shabby and badly maintained. Food drinks: Restaurant closes very early if it is quite.
