Beautiful building and grounds, disappointing fare. I had beer battered haddock and chips. The fish portion was the smallest I have ever seen except on a child's plate. Additionally, it would have been nice to choose our sandwich fillings and have a choice between white and brown bread. Just because we didn't select pescatarian options doesn't mean we wouldn't enjoy tuna; it's limiting to assume we can only have white bread. Overall, it was a mixed experience. The service wasn't exceptional, and afternoon tea should really feel a bit more special.

Stop over for lunch at this Lovely restaurant. Wanted afternoon tea but was told you'd need to book a head for that. So we had to go for other options on the menu. We had the sandwiches which was freshly made came with salad crips. Dessert was delicious. All the staff we meet are friendly staff. Limited drink options. Would definitely come back next time when we in the area. Very clean beautiful place. Hidden gem. There are pay parking at the park. £2 for 6 hrs.

I visited for afternoon tea and found the sandwiches underwhelming and lacking in variety. The cakes were quite dry, and I suspect they might have been store-bought. On the bright side, the waiting staff were friendly and attentive. There were quite a few older patrons, and when we laughed, some of them turned to look at us.
