"It was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night, likely due to the local carnival happening nearby. We started with tempura prawns, and my husband had swordfish while I opted for the steak and kidney pie. For dessert, we both enjoyed raspberry cheesecake. The food was cooked to perfection, and the addition of some homegrown vegetables really enhanced its freshness and flavor. There was a beautiful blue Russian cat that roamed the premises, and the landlord was fantastic. Establishments like this truly deserve to be busier. We visited during our holiday and would definitely recommend it. The food was excellent, and the host was superb. Although the surroundings felt a bit dated, we chose to eat outside, which was lovely. Make sure to visit and see for yourself!"

The staff here are very friendly, but the place seems a bit worn down and has very few customers. It's a pity because it has the potential to be really nice.

We had a fantastic experience staying here with our family. Tihana was incredibly helpful and attentive, going above and beyond by providing us with a foldable bed without us even asking for it, which made our stay much more comfortable. We highly recommend this hotel!

stay 2 nights in the red lion, very friendly from the housekeeping, until bar staff at the reception. jana sam at the reception went the extra mile to help me get my phone charged. the assistent manager also gave me some post-jubilee union jack flags on my return to home. great terrace, fine good great fish n chips business directly opposite. recommended!
