Additionally, the service was outstanding, also deserving a 5 out of 5. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. "For a MAJOR change from hot dogs, burgers and all the other staples offered by Brean we took a 10min drive to this great little pub sitting very picturesque at the foot of Brent Knoll. We had booked in advance, and just as well as it was very busy. Despite this our initial service was quick and pleasant. We ordered 2x roast of the day (turkey) and cheesy garlic bread with chips for the squirt. The chips were MASSIVE but obviously twice cooked as rhey were crispy yet soft inside. Indeed all of the food was well cooked and did not disappoint. The only negative for me was that as the pub was well booked, we were seated away from the busy main body and into what was clearly a bowling alley. With there being only one other party with us it felt rather lonely. I don't think it was intentional but it did feel like we'd been somewhat abandoned, though not neglected. I'd maybe install a TV or at the very least some background music. Well worth a visit (booking recommended)"

"Burnham has multiple pubs, but if you'd rather avoid the large 'Spoons on the seafront, it's recommended to head one street back where there are three options. Amongst these, one stands out as the best, particularly for its selection of quality real ale. Though all the pubs can get rowdy on hot days, this particular establishment offers a slightly more peaceful lounge area. It's a great spot to enjoy a quiet pint while catching up on the news with a newspaper."

"The first impression of this restaurant was positive, but unfortunately, things went downhill from there. The meal was satisfactory, but getting a server's attention to order more drinks proved to be a challenge. After waiting for a long time, we had to actively seek out a waitress to place our drink and dessert orders. Even after multiple interactions with the staff, we still did not receive our desserts nearly an hour later. We eventually paid for what we had consumed and decided to leave. The waitress then informed us that the desserts were ready, but made no mention of compensating us for the long wait or offering a complimentary round of drinks. This lack of customer service was disappointing. It seems that the restaurant struggles to handle the lunch and dinner rush between 12:00 and 14:00, so I would caution anyone considering dining there during those peak hours. Consider yourself warned."
