"Had afternoon tea and it was excellent. First came a cup of french onion soup with a cheese crouton. Then finger sandwiches, pork pie, Quiche and sausage and chorizo rolls in salt and pepper pastry.(homemade) A bowl of homemade coleslaw and a bowl of caramelised...onions. All garnished beautifully. After all of that next came the cherry scones with butter, jam and clotted cream. Delightful and moist lemon drizzle cake. Filo pastry mince tart, finished with fresh mixed berries and dusted with a little icing sugar. Also endless cups of tea and a glass of Prosecco. I highly recommend this afternoon tea. It only costs per person."

Friendly and welcoming service, nice portion, great value for money and the tea was nice. I like that it's located round the back of New Road, has that hidden gem' feel about it. I'm looking forward to trying their lunch menu.

Had a cooked English' breakfast which looked perfect when it was served, the food was fresh, and the meal hot, it was perfect...!! The price included a hot drink and rounds of toast. The price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend this very...friendly cafe...

A real hidden gem located behind the Co-op. Well frequented by locals who know a good thing, and from the banter we’ll known and cherished by the staff. Nice touches little milk bottle and ranking for the tea bag giving perfect control of the...tea. Will serve cold beans too, even if it means opening another huge tin. Thankyou.

Rafters is a brilliant place to meet up for breakfast, lunch or just for a coffee catch up chat with friends. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and there is a warm and positive vibe you get from other customers- some regular- some new....I give the food a rating for being delicious with good sized portions. See photos of vegetarian breakfast and they do the best poached eggs.

Rafters is a family run business with Paul the realms. The food choice of food available is quality. Atmosphere is a chilled vibe with friendly staff service. Very reasonably priced. They do evenings as well like Tapas for example also with a...Liquor license. I do frequent the place fairly often and all visits are pleasant and friendly. Overall top notch great food great people! Highly recommend this is more than just a cafe it’s not a great spoon but for me it’s like a Bistro experience I love the place. Love Tomo.

Ordered three breakfasts to takeaway on a rainy Saturday for lunch. Had only a short wait, and the lady who took my order was friendly and very helpful. My DS doesn't like beans and tomatoes, so she kindly substituted more hash browns. The inside of...the cafe is cosy. The food was yummy, and we were full at the end. The only negative comment is that my toast was put on top of the beans and tomatoes and so was mushy by the time I got it home. I couldn't eat one half of the toast, whereas the other toasts were put separately in foil and so weren't mush.
