"WOW ! What a find. My friend and I went for lunch today. We had booked but it wasn't too busy, perhaps due to the weather A warm welcome and seated I a cool corner!!! We chose a mixed platter for 2. Absolutely delicious. Don't go if you're on a diet All veg cooked Al dente just the way I like it. Huge Yorkshire pudding, 4 meats rare beef, gammon, chicken and pork. Yummy roast/baked potatoes, creamy, Buttery mash, cabbage, cauli, broccoli in creamy cheese sauce, carrots, roast parsnips and parsnip crisps all smothered in a rich meaty gravy. Even after we'd eaten there was a full meal minus the Yorkshire to be boxed up and brought home for the hubby £30 for 2. Excellent value for money. Outside the courtyard is being renovated and they even have a doggy bar offering fresh water from a keg and a buffet of treats and biscuits a lovely touch Parking: 6 spots in pub car park but loads of street parking."

Really Nice pub with good food and service. Waitress seemed new but handled it! Would visit again. Parking: Free parking round the back but limited. If I could give this restaurant a score of 42 for dinner, I absolutely would! It was nearly perfect. I’m a big fan of roast potatoes, and these were exceptional—so good that I could’ve eaten every potato from Farmer Giles' field down the road and still wanted more! Everything was fantastic. The vegetables were cooked to perfection, the meat was divine, and the Yorkshire puddings could win awards. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals, and hardly any food was left, not even the generous servings of sweet carrots and cauliflower cheese. Yes, I gained three stone in just one meal and almost needed Farmer Giles' trusty old tractor to take me back to my car!
