"My family arrived at the Wave, and parked in the car park over the road, and we walked through the small path to the side near the drinks machine, where we were shocked by birds trying to attack us from the canopy up above,,my grandchildren...were very frightened, this is where we nearly went home, not just because of the birds, but because of all the bird POO,,it's was disgusting and it looked like it had acumilated over a period of time,,,the drinks machines and windows were covered to we ran to the main doors to find it shattered but still working ,,now I would think these problems to be health and safety issues...Please, please, please Wave staff/manager sort the Poo problem out and smarten your beautiful building up, you have and work in fantastic environment and everyone I talk to says the same.. NOW... My family were very hungry, (that's the reason we didn't go home) The carvary was EXCELLENT,,(except for burnt yorkshire puds, lol truly it was. There was plenty of choice for everyone it was hot and very tasty the little ones liked the fact they could go back for seconds and thirds if they needed to,they didn't, because they were storefed and so was there granda.... ,,,what let the meal down for me was seeing the chef and assistant,, uniforms looked dirty, I know they probably been extremely busy, but please, it made me think what was the kitchen like!!! Just recently has a Sunday carvery and it did not disappoint... a good hearty home made roast with lots of gravy in a nice friendly atmosphere. Will be back soon!

The restaurant is a lovely and tranquil spot to unwind, but unfortunately, the coffee was subpar and we were unable to drink it all. We did not have a chance to sample the food on this visit, but overall, it seems decent.

Been here a few times in recent years, fair to say service greatly improved and food very good. Had the cavery today which was hot and tasty. Pricing seems good too, surprised the cafe wasn't busier as clip and climb had plenty of folk in,...shame people are missing out.

We had a pleasant morning at Peak Lounge and decided to have afternoon tea. The price was fantastic at just £7 for a selection of sandwiches and three large cakes each. The tea was served in real china cups and overall, everything was beautiful. We will definitely return. Voir le carte

I decided to try the Ben Nevis Burger at this restaurant. The burger itself was large and came with a generous portion of haggis. I had to remove the haggis as it was too difficult for me to eat. The haggis was delicious and the beef patty was flavorful. The fries were not necessary, but they were tasty. The service was good and the staff were friendly and personable.

Visited the Peak Lounge with family a couple of weekends ago and had one of the best cream teas ever! There was so much selection; cake, scones, sarnies etc and a lot for one person to eat and we got 3! This was no problem...as the very friendly members of staff packed the rest into a doggy bag for me to take home. Very good value for money and delicious. Definitely recommend a visit!

Three girls, one vegetarian and she actually had a choice of Quorn nuggets or Veggie burger! The food was beautifully served and the chips were delicious. Not a scrap left on any of their slates. Friendly service and great for lounging in between activities. Great...value and reasonable prices on adult menu but for Children the portions were just right for hungry 10 year old girls and I thought it was cheap. Voir le carte

Visited here after a trip around Maryport. The main highlight of the visit here was the chips, as they were simply divine. If in the area again then I would come back here just for the chips. The service was pleasant throughout. The burgers sounded...amazing on the menu and I chose the Ben Nevis' burger (burgers with haggis, cheese and onions). Unfortunately the burger was simply alright', as the taste did not live up to expectations. I came away with no long lasting impression of the burger.

I took a team of 14 football players to the peak lounge after I was able to run on the local go-karting track. a set meal with drink and ice cream, so everything went smoothly. we have received our food quickly, even if we arrived early!. the burgers are excellent with tweeper rings and chips galore, so there were plenty of food for a large group of hungry teenagers! the location is amazing, especially on a bright sunny day. we even have the opportunity to work our lunch from the cook, which would recommend a grazy opposite on the road, where we could have a kickaround before our trip to the house. would be highly recommended and will certainly return :0)

"I would have loved to rate our dining experience at the Ivy House a lot higher but we were to leave somewhat disappointed. The dining area was pleasant and intimate with well appointed decor, the waitress and waiters pleasant, polite and attentive. The varied menu looked very appetising with most tastes catered for. We chose two courses from the main menu, the Duck Breast and a Fish Dish for myself. Contrary to other reviews we were to wait over 40 minutes before the food was presented to us. We were not advised of any delays or even the expected length of time we might have to wait. The food on arrival was well presented and flavoursome although I did not consider two small stem broccoli spears a serving. I also asked the waiter why there was no Samphire to accompany my dish as stated on the menu, this comment was also reinforced by a fellow diner who ate the same dish just prior to me. The waiter advised me that he would ask the chef. I did not receive a response to my question during further table service and subsequently asked the waiter again. On returning the waiter advised me the chef said “he will try to remember to put it on next time”, a somewhat disrespectful comment. The Cheese platter we were presented with was lacklustre and sparse, quince jelly and a small dish of chutney being the predominant feature. For ourselves we did not feel that our dining experience represented good value for money."
