"I have visited this restaurant many times, but this Friday I experienced what happens when the Said Business School gets out on a Friday around 4:45 pm. There were literally dozens of Americans all purchasing one drink at a time, which overwhelmed the bar staff. I couldn't believe I was in an English pub! However, the staff handled the situation admirably and deserve credit. This restaurant remains one of my favorite pubs in Oxford."

beer and apple wine, crispy and tasty to mouth not try eating or cocktails so can not comment.

Not quite finished yet but this is going to be a really good venue when the builders move out. The drinks and service were great.

Right by the train station this little bar is in a great location, had some great food and some cocktails. Cocktails were excellent and food was great too presentation left a little to be desired however. Voir le carte

Great little pub with garden. Staff were polite and served me immediately the Guinness was good. Nearest pub I could find by the station and I'll be back. I'm sure this place is rocking in the summer being by the river.

We recently stumbled upon the Oxford Retreat pub and were pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly, and they had good drinks,especially wines and cocktails. Nice selection of beers, too. Well located as near bus train station.

A delightful pub located by the river with very friendly staff. Ideal for those traveling to Oxford by train as it is conveniently situated between the town and the station. I sampled the bangers and mash dish and it was absolutely delicious! Voir le carte

Hi. This may sound crazy. I came out after work last night and got a bit drunk, I had a bag with a new pair of shoes in (cream from Zara) Cinderella has left Just ONE shoe somewhere. I was in The oxford Retreat for a while can you please let me know if you come across it? I would love it back x

what a great night was here when we walked in it was dead! but the barms were very friendly, we ordered cocktails and he was professional. at the end turned out as if he were our personal barman, he made us all a special cocktail that was not on the menu. one who has no name, so we named him! very tasty. we will return when the work is done! 10/10 for me
