Good place for a relaxed supper. Always reliable and tasty. The confit de canard is always good, and another had Beef Bourguignon, another the Bream in an unusual chicken sauce that worked well. Finally had a long-awaited lunch with the girls. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the food and drinks were excellent. The staff were attentive but not overbearing. We informed them in advance about one of us needing gluten-free options, and they had a great selection on their menu. I enjoyed the steak frites and a cheeseboard, both delicious. We used to love Cote before we stopped eating meat 4 years ago but once we became vegetarian stopped coming as we felt we weren't well catered for but I checked their menu the other day and was blown away by the change. They really are presenting people with great and innovative choices. The Mushroom Bourguignon was out of this world. If you are Vegan or vegetarian please give it a go. We were pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem! We found it by chance on Black Friday while grabbing a quick lunch break from shopping. Despite being very busy, they managed to squeeze us in without a reservation. The food was fantastic and the staff was incredibly friendly. I never felt rushed at all. As a vegetarian, I opted for the Warm Beetroot salad followed by the Mushroom Bourguignon - both were amazing! We will definitely be returning. Thank you for a great experience! Service: Dine in

I had a birthday lunch at this restaurant today for my daughter and it was excellent. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome. I had eaten at York Cote before so I knew it was going to be good, but this experience exceeded my expectations. The food was excellent and the staff, Cassandra and Vicky, were very friendly and professional. They wished my daughter a happy birthday and instead of bringing a candle, they surprised us by giving her meal for free! We were both astonished and so pleased, it was truly a birthday to remember.
