Normally, a sparkling bar-cum restaurant nightclub like mcqueen in shoreditch is not the place where they find me at dinner. square on the type of high-speed, hard-loving city gezers 'n 'gals, which like their ghost premium, house happy and rope, it is somewhere I've always been a wide lie, although I used to work just around the corner.

Ordinarily, a glitzy bar-cum-restaurant-cum-nightclub like McQueen in Shoreditch isn't the kind of place you'd find me having dinner. Aimed squarely at the kind of high-spending, hard-living City geezers n' gals who like their spirits premium, house happy and ropes velvet, it's somewhere I've always given a wide berth, even though I used to work just round the corner.

McQueen is a great place to go out for drinks, dinner or a party. They have great parties with nice crowd so much different than what you see in Mayfair. The decor is beautiful with impressive statues in the bar area. When they have organised parties is really cool. Everyone is there for the great music and atmosphere and I like to go back here because is clearly a wicked place. Voir le carte

shoreditch chic. I had my first meal in mcqueen a few nights ago, and I must say that I was very surprised, but the quality of food service. I usually don't advise restaurants connected to clubs and/or bar, but that's really a take. the menu is based on american grill and the steaks are really fantastic. After dinner we drove the evening in the lounge bar, which serves first class cocktails. I recommend mcqueen.

We got to McQueens at around midnight on a Saturday night. There wasn't a queue and we got in fairly quickly. We ordered some cocktails (including classic champagne cocktail). For the champagne cocktail they tried to get away with putting in cheap champagne instead of moet (which was stated on the menu).. after we caught them they tried to give us a discount before starting from scratch again. All in all the final drinks were great. It was a shame the bar closed at 1! Way toooo early. I personally didn't enjoy the music much but dance floor was good

we had the croquetas and it had a lot of taste. the taste of the fresh tomato and crumbled with small spots of different sauces filled each other. we decided to lame and cadjau. the lamb was divine! it was full of taste and it was really soft and well cooked. the fish has a finer taste, which was beautiful, but I prefer the lamb. for dessert we had ice creams and the chocolate cake that was dessert of the day. both dessert was beautiful and we even mixed them with each other what made it better. the fresh of the ice and the sorbet balanced the sweet of the chocolate cake. overall I enjoyed it here very much. McQueen, named for Steve McQueen has the lot – a restaurant, a bar and a downstairs club. Its design is supposed to emulate American cool, in homage to the coolest of cool cats, Steve McQueen himself. I think they do achieve the look they’re going for, the space is pleasing to be in, and the odd quirky, slightly gothic touch such as the candelabra or bizarre human tree sculpture gives the place a bit of personality. Hazel Nevard heads down to the well established McQueens, to see if their new chef can serve up food as good as they serve up their drinks. When I heard Chef Nigel Smith had joined McQueen, it was a great opportunity for me to find out just why Where Now rate this Shoreditch Club as a top hotspot and see if Nigel’s food hits the spot. Cool and clubby yet homely with lots of squishy leather chairs and a big screen playing Steve McQueen movies, this restaurant doesn’t try and emulate any other. Last week I was invited to test the Designer Dining Menu at McQueens. When I got the invite I immediately jumped on the opportunity mainly because I walk past this place almost twice a day, on my way to and fro work and I have never been inside. The place is dark and musky and always made me think; what fun for a stag-do! Or after work drinks for the city crowd streaming North from Moorgate.
