"Great pub with delicious food and a friendly, welcoming staff! I visited last night and really enjoyed the lively atmosphere. After a drink, we decided to head home, but a staff member came over to take our drink order for another round. I was very impressed by the excellent service. I'll definitely be back!"

"Reading all the other reviews on this restaurant we must of picked a bad day as the whole experience was dire.Got the feeling as we walked in it was a get them in, get them fed and get them out kinda place. I understand there...are rules because of COVID so they had to keep the windows open but most of us had to sit with our coats on it was so cold. There was eleven of us booked in as we do this once a month and make a great day of it, this was NO great day as one of our party found a stone in his meal, we called the landlord over who was not apologetic and offered no replacement meal he just walked off “ unbelievable “ , the rest of us carried on eating as the landlord approached us for the second time as we thought to apologise but it wasn’t, it was to threaten us with the police because we were refusing to pay for that one meal . The whole experience was an utter nightmare and I’m bemused how this restaurant got so many good reviews as the food was nothing special , iv cooked better at home .one good thing about this place is the girls that work there, totally professional and very polite, to be honest I felt sorry for them as their boss and landlord let them down. SHAME ON YOU !!!!"

"Best Indian restaurant in the village and surrounding area for a fact. We had a brilliant evening, drinks, poppadoms, starters and mains... we didn't get photos, because we were so hungry and the food looked amazing we just tucked in! We are moving out of the area soon and are really quite annoyed we found this little gem too late, however glad we had the chance to try it here before we left. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable, they were able yo recommend meals based on your preference. The chef used fresh ingredients and this shows with the quality of the food! Would definitely recommend and will hopefully be back again before we move"

"Visited here on the way back from London. Welcome: The venue was quiet when we arrived, we received a warm welcome from the staff, everyone was very helpful and friendly (and even turned the air con off as my husband commented it was a bit cold). American Diner styling, open kitchen, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Good Menu, with prices to match. Food: We both had a rump steak (medium rare), served with savoury fries, roasted on the vine baby tomatoes and slaw, we ordered a portion of peppercorn sauce and onion rings. We had an affogato for desert. The steak was fabulously tasty and excellently cooked, all the accompaniments were excellent, hot and fresh. We were both really impressed by the presentation, taste and quality of the meal. (My husband is an executive chef and can be difficult to please so this is a high recommendation) . Service: We had drinks beforehand and sat outside in the sun, then came inside to order and eat our meal. Service throughout was excellent, prompt (but not rushed), very friendly and we were made to feel very welcome, all staff clearly demonstrated that they cared about our experience with them. We didn't catch the names of the lovely lady in charge at front of house or the gentleman behind the bar or the two kitchen staff, but all were extemporary, as was Anya, who served our food and cleared our table. Would recommend and will return based on our experience last night."

"I’ve never made a review before but my experience at the rock and fountain compelled me too as there was this one gentleman named Rhys that went above and beyond for myself and my family to make our experience the best it could be. This young gentleman was always on his feet not only bringing out drinks and food but always making sure the fire was always big and roaring which my youngest daughter loved to watch whenever he put more logs on the fire. The food was amazing especially for the price! I will definitely be coming back with my friends and what Rhys was telling us about the lodge up top, I’ll 100% be recommending it to my fitness and family’s for events and parties as it’s so local to us."
