The Gate Hammersmith

Really amazing plant-based restaurant in Hammersmith. We had excellent service so not sure why some past reviews had negative experiences. Our waitress was really lovely and engaging! Great find!

The food was fantastic! They were kind enough to let me swap my scrambled eggs for scrambled tofu. The quality of the food was outstanding and the coffee was delightful. The atmosphere was decent, nothing too special, but the service was excellent. The staff were very friendly.

One amazing experience! Totally worthy every penny. The food was delicious and I can say is the best vegetarian I have tried in the uk. Every plate is exquisite and enjoyable. The atmosphere is really nice and the people working are really patient and friendly. Highly recommend!! Voir le carte

I first visited this restaurant because I knew they were autism-friendly, as recognized by the National Autistic Society. My experience here went above and beyond my expectations. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect. In addition, the service was outstanding, especially from the server with blonde hair and glasses who was the best!

Absolutely one of the best dining experiences we’ve had; the selection was superb with perfectly complemented flavours and textures through each dish. We loved it so much we went for 3 courses and yea and coffee. Expensive but we’ll worth every penny. It’s hard to prepare vegan and veggie dishes to such a high standard. It takes a real talent to nail it like this.

We can 't believe this was our first visit.... It won 't be out last?!! Inspiring food and wonderfully helpful staff. I have an allium allergy and they catered for this (with a more limited menu) but with no alternations.... Yes I actually ordered and received something off the 'standard ' menu that wasn 't a salad amazing. Thank you The Gate Hammersmith we had an amazing evening xxx Voir le carte

Used to love this restaurant and have been many times. We went again about 18 months ago and had a shocking overall experience rude staff, small table for five, limited food and no Prosecco (therefore no cocktails! . Decided to give it another (last chance three days ago. Again awful. Poor food, no ambience, surly staff our waitress didn’t welcome us or crack a smile all evening. Also v overpriced. Shan’t be going back

The booking system appears to be organised by some external booking app; meaning I could not phone and speak to anyone at the restaurant. There is a charge if you miss your allotted time. We arrived early and told to return at our allotted time despite the place being empty. The waiter was disinterested in explaining the meals. The chairs are uncomfortable and tables chic basic. The saving grace was the food was very good.

Although I am not vegan myself, my husband is, so I don't usually dine at fully vegan restaurants with him. However, we decided to give it a try and had a wonderful date night at this restaurant a week ago. The crispy courgette flowers starter and chipotle mushrooms main course were delicious and well worth the cost. We had a great time and would definitely come back. It's nice to see the growing vegan scene in London with so many excellent options to explore, and I hope to visit more places like this in the future. Voir le carte
