Went in for food the other day, completely random visit.. it was the best fish chips I had! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who’s around the area and passing through!

Party of three, mid afternoon. Good service and good food. Such a shame there was a 12.5% service charge added to our bill without us being informed. Thought the bill was a little higher than expected but did not realise until we scrutinized it later....

We are regulars at the Fox but we were disappointed that, having booked for dinner on a Wednesday before Christmas, and there being a large sign up .saying that wine was half price for dinner on Wednesdays, they reacted by taking the sign down and refusing to honour it. Fantastic evening at the Fox. We’ve recently moved to the area and wanted to try out local places. It was one of the warmest, friendliest pubs we’ve been to for a long time. Staff and customers were so welcoming and accommodating of us, dog and baby and food and drinks were excellent. Couldn’t fault it. Thank you, it’s so important to have great places for locals to go like the fox, we’ll definitely be back!

My partner and I are regular visitors to the wonderful pub!! We have never felt the need to leave a review, though after our lunchtime visit today, we both wanted to put down on record what a gem this is in the Oxfordshire countryside. Staff are always engaging, the chef is so very personal, always coming to your table to discuss menu choices. Today, we both started with the cheese and haddock soufflé, which were spectacular, followed by a beautifully cooked duck breast and ribeye steak, both were wonderful. This pub cannot be recommended high enough, when looking for an eatery I would say look no further than the Fox at Boars Hill!!

Me and my partner came here hoping for a nice dinner however it didn’t meet our expectations. Firstly, it was a lovely sunny evening so we thought would be nice to sit outside for dinner. To start, the terrace was dirty and unpleasant with cobwebs everywhere and unclean tables. Secondly we had a couple sat next to us chain smoking which shouldn’t be allowed in an eating area as there should be a designated smoking spot. We decided to move inside to get away from this which was nearly empty and wasn’t a good atmosphere! Food was decent however quite expensive for what it is. When coming to pay we were charged 12.5% service charge which we didn’t expect, they took a while to come over and take... Voir le carte
